WHO: The Bahama Mama + their two bounties.
WHAT: Their pcal bounty assignment!
WHEN: Beginning today, for them to return on the 16th!
WHERE: En route to Venus, then actual Venus; Badlands & the Bazaar.
WARNINGS: UMMMM. potential descriptions of animal cruelty, violence, will add more potentially later.
PHASE 1: THE BOUNTY.
The crew is given a dossier with the following information: this asshole is known mostly as "Dax", but his real name is Dax Troyard, thirty-two, and guess what, he's Apollo's lieutenant! The Tequila Sunrise got a glimpse of his face back in October, when he was running underground fight clubs, but a little birdie in the HQ holding cells gave them a location. He's a mean, feisty one; he'll definitely put up any fight. There's no information about previous crimes since he's never been apprehended, but if Apollo is assigning you power and trust, he's meant to be a handful.
The dossier will direct them to a hideout in the Badlands, but the Badlands is a shithole you can't access without a gas mask outside, so ya'll will have to sneak in sneaky-like. It will indicate there will be guys standing guard! Approach with caution!
So while they're en route to Venus, the Mama needs to figure out how to do this! Are they pulling in a couple miles out? Sneak in, or guns blazing? BLOW THE WHOLE THING UP WITH THE GUNS?
PHASE 2: THE CHASE.
Whatever they end up doing, they come up empty-handed at the hideout. Sorry, guys. The place has been cleared out, like they were tipped somehow, with only random bullet cases and scrap papers laying around. It definitely will look very recent -- today recent. Someone does manage to find one important scrap paper of note: an address and time, and that's it. It indicates a corner of the Bazaar, so do we go? Is it a trap? Nope, we're going to the Bazaar, friends.
They do end up finding Dax, almost exactly where the paper said he would be, shocking. But instead of getting an actual fight, they get a chase through the Bazaar. You're not cornered until your back is against a wall, anyway. He's exceedingly fast and strong; if you're going to chase him, you better be quick. Does the team split up? In that split-second run, does anyone just take off after him? Do bullets fly? PLEASE DON'T HURT CIVILIANS, SAYS JADZIA?
A new contender also appears, one whom is very familiar: the Mama's first bounty in '65, Ana Vinter! Last time we saw Ana, she was being shipped away to Pluto for making fur coats and accessories out of defenseless animals, but sometime after her first release, she murdered her husband, which landed her back in Pluto. To be released during the break out. ffs. In any case, she takes off in a hurry in the other direction, so who should they follow: Dax or Ana? Or both?
Well, Zwei takes off after Ana, anyway, with Colt in tow. She climbs into her car and blazes down the street; this is only an invitation for Zwei to steal an idling car, #sorrynotsorry HOP THE FUCK IN COLT!!!!
PHASE 3: THE CAPTURES.
Whomever takes off after Dax in the end manages to back him into a literal corner. the fuq u goin' now, son. He doesn't have a gun, but he'll beat the shit out of you with a steel pipe if you come close, should you dare. Eventually, they subdue him! It's an embarrassing capture for one of Apollo's higher ups to endure, though the scuffle just before is his last laugh.
Meanwhile, our lovely pilots -- and anyone else who chooses to follow! -- chase Ana out past the outskirts of the colony into the Badlands. It's a tricky place to be, but hey, as long as you don't inhale too much or open the windows, you should be fine... probably. They manage to get her circling back around to the colony after one of them blows out her tires with a well-placed shot, taking her back through the streets dragging a bad tire. So, who wants to do the honors? She's not going anywhere.
Congrats, Bahama Mama! You not only snagged an Apollo lieutenant, but your first bounty, for little effort! Like they fell into your lap. Enjoy having made Apollo furious. I'm sure that'll end well for you.
