Stakes and Stones and Twinkle Toes 🌟 (winga) wrote in wanna_rp, @ 2020-06-03 17:35:00
We're millennials in New York City. The gig economy is dominating. Housing is wildly expensive. Good healthcare pretty much only sits in the laps of comfy firms in midtown and FiDi. We've got mountains of student debt or, hell, still paying tuition. We're working one, two, maybe even three jobs but it still isn't enough. Thankfully there's iHunt. It's like TaskRabbit, but for killing monsters. Good thing New York's full of monsters (and no, not just the ones on Wall Street). It's an app for people like us who need the extra bucks to pay rent. Rich people don't use iHunt, just like rich people don't drive Uber. Especially because staking vampires tends to come with increased medical costs. And doing it alone? Suicidal.
Good thing millennials revolutionized networking. Encrypted message boards started popping up that let hunters work together based on specialty. Of course, it wasn't long before the corporate vampires (not real vampires, just, you know, thieves) at iHunt took this idea and integrated it into the app. So here we are. It's not great, but we do what we have to because the rent's still due on the first of every month. Plus, the promise of success is alluring-- being able to afford vacations, getting that MFA, living alone. Yeah, maybe it's worth the danger. So why not sign up? All you need is a smart phone, a social security number, and a bank account for direct deposit. Oh, and though optional, a silver-plated chainsaw definitely helps.
Interested in starting up a gpsl or a few slash psls based on the #iHunt novels and rpg written by Olivia Hill! More information here!
