I'm hoping to find a slash psl for this character.
I would like to play a sorcerer that has fallen far from the powers he once commanded. This line would be set in a world that knows about the supernatural after an incident that revealed the truth to humanity years ago and humans aren't thrilled with the fact that they aren't alone in this dimension. Mages who break the law or use magic against others have their hands cut off and tongues removed so they can not form the necessary somatic hand movements or invoke the incantations necessary to work magic. Werewolves are chained with silver in prisons and carefully registered if free. Vampires are executed by sunlight if they drink from a human. There is a cruel punishment meant to mock a creatures unique traits for every creature and even those that haven't done anything wrong are still punished by being confined to established districts of the city to work and live. Im envisioning a world somewhat inspired by the upcoming Netflix movie Bright.
Benedict used to be a sorcerer of incredible power, at one point helping the government with some issues that were true threats to both humans and the supernatural but something happened. Either he overextended himself and burned out his ability to control and regulate magic so now any spell could unleash devastating energy, or he realized he had been tricked into hurting his community for the humans and so he abandoned that life. He now works as a bartender at a supernatural bar, passing himself off as a truly unremarkable sorcerer. The bar is a safe place, Benedict was able to achieve that through a use of magical warding and some deals with the city's police force. In the front, he serves drinks to thirsty customers, in the back he uses what magic he can to help those in need (breaking curses, creating protective wards and charms, etc).
I'd really like to find someone to interact with him. A coworker (another bartender or the bouncer), a regular of either side of his business, a cop (human or supernatural) that works the district and has developed a friendly or antagonistic relationship with Benedict (maybe a human that puts on a show of being antagonist and strict but is really secretly dating Benedict and wants to help), or another type of human agent that knows the truth of Benedict and has been place in his life (neighbor maybe) to make sure he doesn't open his magic back up and become a threat.</center>
Alternatively, I have a basic bio and some potential lines already listed in the journal here if anyone is interested in a different version of Benedict.
