Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
WHO: Fenrir and Marlene
WHEN: Wednesday Evening
WHERE: Diagon Alley
WHAT: Altercation and well he meant it Remus!
RATING: TBD probably not low!

The rock made a slightly satisfactory pinging noise as it played off the window of the shop across the street from where Fenrir was currently lounging. And lounging was the only way to describe his current position as he sprawled in an open bench that ordinarily would be filled with couples enjoying some ice cream after a romantic dinner. Vomit. In fact the bench had been filled with two girls, young women... whatever, that were attempting to bat their eyelashes at some men across the way. Had was the operative word. Maybe it was the distinct odor that he gave off or maybe it was the way he bared his teeth as he sat down between the two women and slung his arms around their shoulders that ran them off so quickly.

Shame. The ice cream smelled excellent and he would have loved to eat some off of them. Instead he had settled for irritating the shop keep across the way as the man set about trying to close up his shop for the evening. First it was pebbles, then it was larger rocks that he conjured from the garbage bin next to him. It irritated the older man to no end, that much was certain.

It wasn't really holding his interest though. Fenrir was merely biding his time until the perfect plot came to mind. He wasn't quite as stupid and petty as he often seemed. He just had a reputation to uphold. He did enjoy being able to surprise a high fucking mighty witch or wizard when it suited him. Though violence suited him just as often. He was more beast then man. He could still think like a man though, even if it was an irritation. Lupin was also an irritation, a hit to his pride if you will that he had never been able to pull the young man into the fold.

There were ways, he just hadn't found the right one yet. But he would. Oh yes he would.

Marlene was exhausted. She had hoped, after the long hours in the Ministry that she would at least come out with some useful information that would maybe help the Order find some Aurors or at least give them something to go on. Frustrated and annoyed, and instead of going home straight away, the auror went to Diagon Alley. It was always strange at night and rather tense especially under current circumstances. She always had her wits about her, eyes scanning everyone even if they appeared harmless. Her line of work made her paranoid, and quite rightly so. Danger could be lurking around every corner, constant vigilance... even her thoughts had Moody's voice.

Tonight her senses would prove to let her down, however. Making a turn left out of Flourish and Blotts she tripped and dropped the bag of goods she'd just bought. No good having broken supplies, Marlene, she scolded herself, bending down to scoop them up. Her wits were dulled. She didn't notice or feel anyone lurking in the shadows looking for prey. For a split second, she actually believed all to be well...

Prey. Now wasn't that a good way of looking at it. Or at least Fenrir particularly approved of it. Then again he did enjoy all things that put him in the role as a carnivorous beast. How could you not love that title?
Well it was quite clear some people didn't. But Fenrir was an optimist, he'd get them to embrace the change in their lives, understand the particular joy there was in truly accepting who you were.

First and foremost though was getting one specific werewolf riled up enough to do something about it. Baiting the trap wasn't working so he'd simply have to spring that proverbial trap and be done with it. Choices choices choices.

The next rock he threw didn't make the right sound. Not even looking as it had launched from his hand he finally drew his head up to determine what had stopped the satisfying sound of contact.

Oh well hello there. Leggy, blond and could take a rock to the face. His kind of gal. Things were definitely looking up.

Marlene gave a little surprised yelp as she felt something sharp hit her cheek with quite a force. What the hell was that? She rubbed at her skin, a frown forming on her face. Looking down she saw a stone, rather large... she spun her head towards the direction where it came from, hand darting to her wand as she searched the shadows. Someone was in there - now she was alert she could sense it.

"Who's there?"

Fenrir pushed quickly to his feet. It was one fluid motion that didn't seem to match his rather ratty exterior. Standing his pressed forward on the balls of his feet taking a slow deep breath, scenting her before he rocked forward and stepped more fully into the street light. Shoulders rolled forward as he swung his hands forward to clasp them together.

"Who's where sweet potato?" He asked, bearing a grin on his features as he took a quick look around to the left and the right. "Just you and me legs, got a name?" He stepped forward the motion happening far faster then one would expect. Had he really just moved forward? Good question. Best not to take the time to debate that though.

Whoever it was he was fast moving.

"None of your business," she snapped, not able to make out who exactly was lurking in the shadows. She could see the shadows on his face and his outline but no features. He could be anybody - and that's what unnerved her. Keeping her fear tightly wound inside she held her wand outstretched. "I suggest you leave to throw stones at something which will not hit you back..."

He could smell the fear on her, no matter how much she may have tried to tuck it away inside her the body had a way of releasing that scent and it always went straight to his gut. In a good way, perhaps not for her but he thoroughly enjoyed it.

A small 'tut tut' sound came from his mouth as he took a circling step to the side. The slim line of her neck right in his view. "You walked into my stone throwing party sweet potato, don't be blaming me." Again with the 'tutting' sound. "But if you're going to hit back baby, I'm game." The step he took back toward her front finally put him directly into the line of a gas light street light. His fingers shot out and curled around her wand. "Let's put that away before someone gets hurt."

Marlene gasped louder than she would have liked, his swift movement to grab her wand far too fast for her to react. With her only defense now in control of the enemy Marlene saw no point in trying to kill herself quicker. She let her grasp on the wood weaken, standing straight yet took a step towards him. Distance might prove to be vital in the coming moments but if she still had hold of her wand she'd feel a lot safer.

Taking a deep breath Marlene stared him in the eyes. "I'd rather keep hold of it if it's all the same to you. Run along, wolfie, and let's play nice."

Such a pretty sound. Such a human sound. Fenrir breathed out slowly, it probably wasn't the most pleasant of scents. He wasn't the largest fan of brushing his canines on a regular basis. Flossing... funny. Fenrir felt the give as she released much of her hold on his wand and took a step in. Well hello Dolly.

His grin only widened as she began to speak. "I can let you hold onto something else, helps in playing real nice sweetling." He smirked, letting his overly sharp canine's glint fully in the street light. "Got a name Blondie? Since you seem to know who I am and all."
