The Music is Over, Turn Out the Lights
Well we didn't win, but still did VERY VERY well. People know we are out there and know what we stood for. The instant run off ran us all the way into Round #18 and we ended up 5th overall and would have been in 4th if we had 4 more votes!

I am going to continue my crusade to get the open source version of the code better taken care of. And this may or may not involve LJ/SUP depending on the stance they take. I am ready to start a new project that branches off of LJ.

I want to thank everyone who voted for me and who supported me. I hope that legomymalfoy does a good job and pushes LJ in the right directon.

I think your participation was very positive and constructive, and I'm glad that we have you as our admin/owner here on IJ.

Well, reading [info]lj_policy it looks like they're at least taking a step in the positive direction in terms of feedback, so there may be hope for the open source version of the code at the end of the tunnel. It was a well fought (and clean) battle, so well done you!

We fought hard and steered clear of the wank, I'd say that's an internet victory in and of itself.
