Prompt #16- What moment from your life do you wish you could re-live again?

The last time I saw Findekano alive, was shortly before the start of the Nirnaeth Arnoediad, one of the major battles we fought against Morgoth. We met to discuss strategy for the battle; my forces would be coming in from a different direction from his, and he wanted to hold mine in reserve so we could strike hard once Morgoth's forces were already partly depleted. I argued that it was suicidal; even with all our forces combined we were still horribly out-numbered. I favoured joining the battle right from the start but Findekano could not be persuaded. We parted that night with harsh words between us, and I never saw him again.

Perhaps, if I could re-live that day again, I might have found some way to persuade him that his strategy was flawed. On second thoughts, he was as stubborn as myself so maybe that would not be so likely. Maybe instead I would have defied his instructions and joined the battle early instead of waiting for his signal. He would have been angry with me, but I'd sooner have him angry than dead.

At the very least, I could have told him that I loved him.

My mama. She was the most wonderful person someone could ask for. She was smart and beautiful and she was just, mama. It's dumb, I know, but I'd want any moment I had with her relived. Even if it was one of the fights we had. Just something to help me keep remembering her since she's slipping from my mind.

If I had to choose one though, I think I would pick the time she was teaching me how to raise the flame on a candle. She realized I was stronger then I knew. The flame actually set off the sprinkler system. She laughed and told me I was her little fire starter. We played in the water that was raining down on us until the fire department came.

It was one of the last times I had with my mom, and I still remember it. I wouldn't change it for the world, I'd want to relive that one though, keep it fresh in my mind.

What moment from your life do you wish you could re-live again?

I wish I could have those few minutes again with Alison. Before she left for school on the day she was killed. I'd have told her again how much I loved her.

What moment from your life do you wish you could re-live again?

There are so many moments in my life that I wish I could re-live, but the one that sticks out most in my mind is my final test on Telos. At the time, I knew it was the right decision to take when Qui-Gon murdered my father, and for that I don't think I can ever forgive my former Master. There are other parts about that night that I'm not so sure about, though.

Maybe I could have saved Crion. Maybe I could have saved myself. I would still want the power and wealth that came with it, there's no doubt about that, but maybe there would be a way for me to save my father's life as well.

Now I sit here with a broken circular scar on my cheek as a reminder of my actions, both good and bad, of that night.

What moment do you wish you could re-live?

I honestly have no answer for this. I have had a long and full life, and there are so many memories. It is terribly difficult to pick out just one that I wish I could relive again. My first kiss, perhaps; if only that was the first and last time in my life that I was innocent. Actually, that is a lie, as I was the one who cast the spell to get my kiss. But... That would be a lovely moment to have again.

On the other hand, there are many moments that leap to mind that I most certainly would not ever desire to re-live. Such as the time I had to tell Ambrogino that I did not get the artefacts he wanted. I would have much preferred a stake through my heart than what he did to me. I couldn't bear to move for nights, until my hunger was too great to ignore.

For that matter, I don't think that I'd prefer to re-live the conversation I had with Kay this evening. It is a good thing the girl is my blood. No, I take that back. It is a good thing the she is my niece, anyone else in the family and I would have make good my threat to stake them.

Oh yes, they are the top low-lights of what I never wish to experience ever again.

What moment from your life do you wish you could re-live again?

There are so many I could pick. I mean the first time Nathan asked me to marry him, the first time I gave a concert, James' birth, the second time Nathan proposed to me, the last time everyone was together. I've been lucky with the happy moments in my life to relive again.

I think though, if I had to only pick one moment to live over again, it would be hearing James' heartbeat in the ultrasound after I'd been hit by a car. I know that sounds strange to have that be the moment I would re-live, but I was so terrified that I'd lost the baby. Nothing compares to that relief I had. Nothing.

It was as if every prayer had been answered and I was listening to a miracle. The miracle of birth, is just that, a miracle. When you think you've lost your child and learn that he's healthy, however, nothing can top that in your life. That amazing emotion is what I want to live again.

If I could relive any moment in my life, it would be any time that my mom was still alive. God, just to be able to see her again for like a minute would be worth it. I don't even care when it would be, just any time that she was alive. I'd even take it when she was yelling at me.

It's strange that I would miss that, but I do. I miss having my mom yell at me for doing something stupid. I have Giles yelling at me, but it's not quite the same. No… you know what moment I'd pick. When it was just the two of us, but Dawn could be there, it was just before she came into our lives. Mom and I were curled up on the couch and we were watching some chick flick. That's the moment I'd relive. A quiet moment, just the two of us.
