As someone who has lost many people and memories in her life, it is hard to pick just one person or thing that I will never have back. Instinctively I want to say mama, but through the years I have learned that I can live my life without my mother. As sad as it sounds, it's unfortunately true.

My greatest loss was probably Vera. I know it sounds crazy since she dedicated her life to ruining mine and even tried to kill me, but losing Vera was like a well-needed turning point. She was the one that made me realize everything I needed was right where I wanted it to be – at home.

Without Vera there torturing me, I never would have done half of the things I have done. Things that happened would never have happened if not for Vera. Even though she did everything she could from letting me live a happy life, she'll never know how happy I really am now.

When asked that question, everyone expects the answer to be the loss of their innocence. For me, that's not it. I guess my greatest loss could be the ability to actually care whether a sister died or my actual flesh and blood family cares more about what we are than who we are. Maybe that wouldn't count considering I actually don't care that I don't have those feelings anymore after everything they have put me through but in the grand scheme of things? That would be the greatest loss - the ability to care about those who you share blood with are less important than those who don't have to care but do and love you for who you are rather than what you are to the world.

Alderaan.

Alderaan was definitely and completely my greatest loss in my entire life.

What other ruler can say they lost their entire planet as they watched?

I stood there, unable to do anything to stop it from happening as Tarkin tested the new weapon they had on their so-called Death Star.

The planet was blown up immedaitely and I lost everyone -- family, friends, comapanions, allies.

I don't think I have ever experienced a more all-consuming loss.

You're fucking kidding me, right? My greatest loss? Well, gee, that really doesn't take a genius to figure out. How about the fact that I'm dead now? I really don't think that any loss is greater than the fact that I lost my life. I mean, I really was awesome and then it was all taken from me by some actor on a God kick.

I may act like I don't give a damn, but you know, I am really pissed off that I'm dead. I had plans... a lot of plans! There were all kinds of things I wanted to do and places I wanted to go. I was sixteen. Sixteen! No girl should be killed like that... especially when she's young and hot.

The one thing that makes it bearable?

My brother made the bastard pay when the justice system failed and let him go. He made sure that he got justice -- or vengeance -- for me. The murdering bastard won't be hurting anyone else.

So, my greatest loss?

How about my life?

The day my momma died.

Ain't something I like talkin' about. But she was an amazing woman who did everything she could to hold our family together. Took care of all of us kids, and that wasn't an easy feat.

... maybe I'll talk about it sometime. But that time ain't today. Probably ain't gonna be tomorrow, either.

I try not to think about my losses too much, except as an example of what not to do. I lost my family to the War, to murderers, to anger. It was only that last one that I had any control over. Pride goes before a lot of things, I suppose.

I lost many dear friends over the years I’ve been an equipper, super and layman alike; some in the line of duty and others to more mundane ends. Imagine being able to bend steel with your bare hands only to die of a heart attack. “Ironic” is simply not a word strong enough.

What is my greatest loss? Which one small thing that I miss and can never have back?
I think perhaps the worst loss of all is that of a lost chance. I let mine slip away some years ago and I don’t think I will have a second opportunity to seize it before it is really, truly gone.
