Prompt #1 - Who Am I?
Who am I? Well, I suppose that depends on who you ask.

If you ask the majority of the citizens of Oz, I'm the Wicked Witch of the West. But there are precious few people who would have a different answer.



Once upon a time, Glinda would say that I'm Elphie, her best friend, her confidant, her pupil. She took it upon herself to take me under her wing and teach me how to be more socially acceptable. Now she thinks I'm crazy for defying the Wizard, but I couldn't bring myself to let such grave injustice go unspoken.

Nessa would have said that I was someone for her to rely on. Until I left. I never imagined that my absence would have such a profound impact on her and make her do the things she has done.

And Fiyero. Well, at first I was just that crazy, green girl in his classes. The one who no one really paid much attention to. But then we shared that moment letting the lion cub free and I was sure that he felt something. And, yes, I turned out to be right. He nearly sacrificed himself for me. And now he's the only person that knows I'm alive.


And who would I say am? Well, I believe that I'm someone who did what I had to do and stood up for what I believe in. Whether or not that has any positive outcome remains to be seen.
