"Who are you?"

I'm the Battling Bard from Potadeia and Xena's best friend. My name is Gabrielle and I wouldn't be the person I am today if I hadn't met her. She saw something in me that allowed me to be who the fates meant me to be.

I began my journey in a small village in Potadeia. I never felt like I fit in there. Even my sister Lila who I love, didn't always understand me. 'There were no female bards, it was a silly dream.' That's what my parents thought and they betrothed me to a nice boy named Perdicus. I was resigned to live my life how everyone thought I should until our village was raided by Draco's men looking for slaves. That's when Xena arrived and I saw my destiny. I didn't know at the time it was to be by her side, I only knew that there had to be more outside of Potadeia, and she could show me.

So I did what I used to do best. I talked my way into her life. Over our journeys, there have been many twists and turns. I went from a naïve village girl, to an Amazon Princess, to a Queen and fighting beside Xena as we help villages like the one I left. I never pictured my life where I am now, but I've never felt more complete than I do. Xena was the best thing that ever happened to me.

1. havocthecat has agreed to assist me in maintaining both this asylum and voices_rp. I probably need to write her a lot of pr0n in thanks :)

2. To save what little sanity we have left, effective immediately (but not including apps in progress), we will only add new members on Sundays. Applications may be submitted at any time, but we will only process them once a week.

3. I'm so excited to see how many people have already replied to the first prompt! I'm hoping to have the info post done for voices_rp today so you all can start utilizing that.

4. I'm always open to suggestions on how to improve this group, so please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any ideas.

ETA: See, I need caffeine. I've linked a few helpful things on the sidebar of the comm and there is also a tag list there. In addition to tagging by prompt number, I'm going to add tags for each muse so I can track participation easily.

Since we have so many new members (yay!), I've revised the friending list to include all the journals we've added. I'll be doing updates on Sundays (or Mondays, if it happens to be a Sunday I'm offline) from now on, after the new journals are added.

Directions: Go to the IJ admin console, paste in the appropriate list, and then hit the "execute" button.

Now there's a question. I know who I was. Was the biggest, baddest vamp there ever was. Once.

Oh, I'm still him, but I'm more too. Less sometimes. Got a soul now, for what that's worth. Got a tag that reads 'champion' but that ain't worth the tin metal its written on. Shiny baubles are off my accessories list from here until eternity.

I am... well, depends on who you ask, I suppose. Ask Buffy, I'm the one who died so she wouldn't have to. Ask the Poof, I'm the bloody thorn in his bloody side. :grin: Work hard at that one. Ask the Blue Meany and I'm just a punching bag.

But if you ask me?

I'm William, whatever that means. I'll live forever, if I can avoid the sunlight, and I'll fight for good while I'm here. Not for her, not for him, but for me. For who I was, for who I could be. For whoever it is I'm becoming.

My name is Nelyafinwe Maitimo, I am the eldest of the seven sons of Curufin Feanaro who was the second King of the Noldor during the First Age of Middle Earth. I was better known to those outside my family as Maedhros the Tall, or simply as the Kinslayer, depending on whose side you're on. Now that's a deep question, that is. I'm a pirate, and if you think I'm letting my job define me, you've never been a pirate. It's a life, not just what you do. When I sleep, it's like a pirate. When I eat, it's like a pirate. And believe me, I do that a lot now that I can again. There was this problem with a curse, a while back, but that's over now. I've been over the edge of the world and back, seen and done things other people can't even dream of.

Now I won't sing the song for you, even if I do fancy myself a bit musical. But really, it's a pirate's life for me.

Oh, my name's Ragetti, by the way. Just in case you were wondering. I'm not that consequential, really. But I do my duty as the captain wants, and try not to question nothing that doesn't need questioning. I've learned my lesson, I have.
