Pouty Just Isn't Badass
Who: Chris and Samantha
Where: Chris and Lacey's Apartment
When: Sunday Afternoon, 2/13
Thank god Sam didn't have to worry about anything like Valentine's Day, since she was PAINFULLY single. Even though she was hot as hell, girl just couldn't exactly get her hook up on. Of course, it wasn't like she had much time right now, anyway. Right now she was hanging and Chris and Lacey's apartment (her bandmates), playing the constant catch up game with the still perfecting of songs that these guys had written so they obviously already knew. Not that she minded. Girl loved her music. Plus, the scary and pure evilness that was Lacey was at her work at the moment (nothing brought in sad sacks to spend wretched amounts of money on glorified hookers like Valentine's Day, she said), so Sam didn't have to deal with the freakiness that was her. Great drummer, and funny as hell, but not someone you'd like to piss off.
Right now she was thumbing through some chords on her guitar while working through a new song. She had made herself pretty damn comfy on the sofa in the living room, shoes off and simply wearing a wife beater and a pair of jeans as she worked through the chords on her guitar.
Chris, meanwhile, DID have plans for Valentine's Day (Ok, so the plans were mostly a nice dinner with Bella, followed (hopefully) by an evening of freaky-kinky sex, but shut up!), but he wasn't exactly busy this afternoon, since his plans had already been taken care of. He knew Sam had been... a little 'blah' the last few days (he understood, as seriously, how hadn't someone expressed interest in the girl by now?) so he figured this would be a good time to hang with her, try to cheer her up a little.
He handed her a sheet of paper that had some lyrics on it, and gave her a confident grin. "Alright. Here's your first big test as an official member of this band. I wrote these about a week ago... and over the next week or so, I want you to write some guitar work to go with it. I have no real melody in mind.... so use your imagination."
She nodded, taking the lyrics from him and looking over them for a minute. "I'm sure I can come up with something." She wasn't really blah just so much as agitated really. She knew she was good looking. Give her a break here, Vegas. There had to be SOMEONE who dug blue haired chicks.
"I know you can. You're a hell of a lot better than you even gave YOURSELF credit for." And yes... if he hadn't already been with Bella? Chris would be trying his ASS off to get with this one. "You know what I think we should do this week? Go hit up A2, and find you a guy worthy of you."
Oh god, and now her bandmate was trying to get her a guy. Awesome. "I'm fine with going out to A2, but we don't have to find a guy for me just yet. Going with a purpose never ends well."
"Damn, someone's grumpy..." He muttered, catching her tone. "Just trying to help spread the happy, you know? You've become a good friend. I want you to SMILE sometimes."
She smirked slightly. "Not everyone gets to meet their soulmate in a bar," she teased. "I'm fine, really. Just a little...love lorn, I guess." She shrugged.
"Well? I just wanna help you with that, you know? You're WAY too hot to be all, you know... pouty." He said with a smile as he wrapped an arm around her, pulling her in for an affectionate hug.
She couldn't help but laugh as she reached around and hugged him back. "Pouty really isn't a good look on anyone, huh?" she asked playfully.
"Nope. Plus, it totally throws the bad-ass vibe off. And you work SO hard at it with the killer blue hair, you know?" He really WAS a sweet guy... he hated seeing anyone he cared about unhappy or depressed.
She laughed again. "Yeah, well, I *do* try to put off a bad-ass vibe and all," she joked. "I'm sure I'll find someone good enough for me one of these days." She sure as hell hoped so. The only single friend she had was Lacey, and she was pretty sure that Lacey was perfectly happy being that way.
"Trust me. You will. Bitch all you want, but I'm gonna make SURE of it." He meant that, too. He was going to find someone for this girl if it was the LAST thing he did, dammit.
