Who: Megan and Alicia
What: Megan is sulking
Where: Pub
When: A few hours until closing

Megan had managed to take Alicia's advice not to try and keep up with the former Gryffindor. It hadn't made a bit of difference, though. Megan was and always had been quite the light-weight, especially when firewhiskey was involved.

"Alicia, I-" She had to pause mid-sentence to let a small hiccup escape, which earned a bright giggle shortly after. She continued with slightly slurred words. "I don't usually drink this much, I promise. I'm generally a very responsible person, honestly." She idly began spinning her shot glass, moving her finger around the rim. "Respect my own limits and all that." The glass suddenly tipped over, but Megan didn't even flinch. Her eyes drifted downward to look at the empty glass, a frown forming. Her game was ruined. How sad.

Suddenly, as if she'd been holding it in for the entire evening, Megan blurted out. "Didn't you date Roger Davies?"

Alicia couldn't help but laugh as the girl rambled on and swayed in her seat. She had tried to go slow, very slow for Meg's sake but all that seemed to happen was leave her with a happy buzz and have the other girl falling over. It had been fun catching up, the other girl always brought a smile to her face. Being one of the boys was great but having a gal pal was necessary.

Until they ask things like that.

Alicia nearly choked on her shot, something that went against everything she stood for. "I supposed you could call it dating," she said, looking at the other girl. "Way back in Hogwarts mind you. Why on earth are you asking about that?"

It took a bit for Megan's laughter to die down. She had found Alicia's reaction positively hilarious. "'Swhat I thought." She reached for her glass to down another, but found it sadly empty. Pouting, she turned it upside down.

"He's a big, fat, jerk, yanno." She sighed. "Okay, maybe not big and fat. But he's definitely a jerk. He wouldn't let me bake white chocolate macadmia nut cookies."

Alicia motioned for the bar tender to cut Megan off. She wasn't trying to be controlling but one more drink and she was going to have to drag the girl home or worse yet, listen to her sob. She motioned for a water and set in front of the other girl, downing another shot in hopes of catching up to her.

Alicia could only blink and open and close her mouth a bit as her brain tried to process it all. "You like him! You actually like him, oh wow, that's...." Alicia pushed the water away before ordering to more pints. They were both going to need another drink.

"What?!" Megan exclaimed, far too loudly. A few people turned to look at her with amusement. "Roger? Me? No!" She crinkled her nose. "We're friends. Don't ask me why." Truth be told, Megan sometimes wondered why she put up with Roger. He was awfully bossy when he wanted to be, and Megan was more on the sensitive side. Of course, it was nice on some occasions to have someone who would actually 'tell it like it is' or something ridiculous like that.

"He said," Her brows furrowed as she she took on a deep voice that sounded nothing at all like Roger. "I feel so wronged by Spencer that I'm waiting for everyone else to make the same mistake." She took a drink of her water. It still tasted like alcohol, thanks to the amount she'd had, so she posed no complaints. "Can you believe that? Waiting for everyone to make the same mistake my arse."

"Sure, sure, be careful with that. To Roger a friend and a girlfriend don't have to be that different," she said with a laugh. "Sorry, just the way you said it...There's nothing wrong with liking him! I had my moment too and there is such a thing as protesting too much..." Alicia stuck out her tongue and smiled, enjoying teasing the girl far too much.

"Wronged by Spencer? Megan, darling, I have no idea what you're talking about. Is he ignoring you because he thinks you're going to do the same thing? Hit him over the head and tell him to get over himself, that always worked for me," she said, shrugging slightly. She wasn't sure what happened between the two boys but that didn't give him a right to take it out on Meg but Alicia was well aware that Roger could be stubborn when he wanted to be. It was something they had in common.

"Trust me." She gave what was supposed to be a very serious look, but turned out looking rather amusing. "Roger and I- no way. He's best friends with my ex-boyfriend." She paused. "You know, I shouldn't even be friends with someone who's that close to my ex-boyfriend, should I? That's weird."

Megan sighed in frustration. "Not Roger!" she explained. "Me! I'm wronged by Rog- No, wait. I'm wronged by Spencer because that bloody asshole think he can just take back any committment he feels like and if I'm not okay with it then I'm just not okay with who he is." She was rambling now. It didn't make much sense, though it did sound an awful lot like one of Megan and Spencer's arguments about their break-up.

"Don't be silly! Boyfriends are how we meet their cooler friends who aren't complete dicks," Alicia said, leaving no room for argument. "If he's cool with still being friends then don't stop being friends with someone because of a breakup. That's just silly."

"Ok, deep breaths. Merlin woman, you chose me to talk about your problems with," she muttered, running a hand through her hair. "You realize I'm as useful as a guy with this sort of thing, right? Ok. You broke up, he has to blame you so he doesn't feel guilty. I'm not saying he's wrong or you're wrong but if he was taking back commitment then he was looking for a way out anyways. It didn't matter whether you were ok with him or not, otherwise he was trying to string you along. Have you talked to him lately?"

Megan blinked blankly at her. "Wait... do You still have a thing for him, Alicia?" she asked, eyes wide. "A reunion with Roger?! That would be so cute!"

"He proposed to me," she told her flatly. Megan never talked about what happened with she and Spencer. She was horribly embarrassed, but with alochol in her system, caution was thrown to the wind. "Then took it back. But it's my fault for not understanding, don't you know?" At the thought of talking to him again, Megan took another gulp of her 'drink'. "Not since he told me he's started dating Bredina. A week after I was stupid enough to sleep with him. Don't ask how I let that happen."

"What? No! There are so many things wrong with what you just said. Most importantly, nothing about me is cute and I will hurt you if you ever imply such a thing again. I'm beginning to think you got dropped on your head," she said, eying the girl warily.

Alicia could only stare in dumb shock at her confession. Had she been keeping this to herself the whole time? "Oh Meg," she said, because sometimes there weren't right words and if there was she didn't know them. "He's an arse. A scared arse who is rebounding because no girl is better than you," she said, going into gal-pal mode, squeezing the other girl's arm reassuringly. "People make mistakes and let hormones take over. I made out with a random in the middle of the Leaky the other week," she said with a grin.

"Come on, lets bash the dick and the slag and feel better about life. Or we can find something for you to break. It's your call."

"Me thinks she doth protest too much!" Megan giggled, swaying in her seat. "And there is nothing wrong with being called cute! You're a cute girl! If I was a guy, I'd totally date you!" Of course, Megan would make for a very... strange man.

"He's not rebounding," she muttered. "We broke up a while ago. We just... fall back into old habits a lot. Because I'm an idiot." She frowned. "And Roger was right. I'm undatable. You know-" She let out a bitter laugh. "I tried Aidan. Georgie's suggestion. He seemed like a nice bloke, and I was sure I could prove Roger wrong, but lo and behold! He's dating the great Tracey bloody Davis! Skank extraordinaire!"

"You worry me," she said dryly, taking another long drink.

"You're not an idiot and you're not undateable. Roger, adore him as I do, is clueless. When is the last time you have seen him in a serious relationship? Oh that's right, you haven't. Everything he says on the matter is bollocks!"

"You asked George to set you up?" Alicia merely took another drink, some things should be tackled at a later dater. "First, nice isn't exactly something that will having you bouncing in excitement. You need better than nice, you deserve it. Second, he's dating the skank extraordinaire! You don't want him, he's dirty. If he wants an easy lay then he is not worthy of you, a guy should have to earn those kind of privlieges, not just snap their fingers. There are other men out there and it's not the end of the world to be single," she said, mumbling that last part. "I've been doing it for years."

Megan hesitated. "You're RIGHT he hasn't, has he? He's too in love with his stupid brooms!" It was nice to have an excuse not to believe what Roger had said, and one that was slightly decent, even.

"He's my chaperone," she explained as if, of course, Alicia should know exactly what she meant by that. "He was supposed to pick out a nice boy for me. Aidan's a healer in training, very sweet. That slut has just sunk her claws into him. He thinks he's in love. Didn't even consider the fact that my inviting him over might be construed as a date."

"Oi! Brooms aren't stupid," she said, grinning like mad.

"Your chaperone....right. Wait. You picked George as a chaperone? You are aware that he is a Weasley twin, right?" Alicia could only tr not to laugh as Megan went off on Aidan and his slut. It wasn't her fault if it was amusing.

"Megan, Megan, Megan. Maybe you should find a single guy to start dating again. You don't want to turn into a home wrecker. Leave the boy with his slut, find a man who wants more."

"It's complicated," she said, grinning. "See, I was originally just going drinking with Ron, but George thought that was risky business, which it obviously wasn't since Ron's been madly in love with Hermione since forever. It was just his excuse to come along and drink, too, but the title stuck." She paused, grin widening as she gave off a girly giggly. "He's bloody fit, though."

Megan waved Alicia's advice off. "I don't want to date him, anyway. It was a stupid attempt. I've never even considered him before. Obviously, it was a good decision on my part. He clearly has horrible taste."

"That makes more sense." Alicia smirked at the last bit, a wicked look coming in to her eyes. "He really, really is," she said, laughing herself. "Don't tell him though, we wouldn't want to make Fred jealous."

"Clearly. Hey! George is single, you should date George," she said, her fuzzy head recognizing this as a brilliant idea. It seemed her plan to catch up with Meg was beginning to work.

Megan squealed with delight at Alicia's confession. "I've never talked to you about which blokes are fit, Alicia!" For how sulky she had been earlier, Megan was certainly cheerful now. "Fred's not bad either, you know. Oh, and, okay, Roger is an arse, but totally gorgeous. And Terry! He's adorable!" Oh dear, once you get her started, she'll never stop.

"Date George? Do people date George?" Megan asked, looking confused at the thought. "I mean, he's George. He's just... George." Excellent word choice, Jones.

"You've never asked," Alicia said, smirk in place. "Of course Roger is gorgeous, I wouldn't date an ugly bloke. Any man who plays quidditch though is instantly hotter, something about lean muscles..." Alicia felt herself grinning like mad as she trailed off. Thinking about the last bloke she made out with that was built like that. No Slytherin should be that hot, it wasn't fair!

"You have a good point there, Jonesie. You should just ask him if you can feel up his hot bod, you'll even treat him to dinner if he's good," she suggested with a chuckle. Megan was drunk, if she threw a slap it probably wouldn't hurt. If it did, well, it would be worth it.

"So right!" Megan chirped, grinning. "Quidditch boys are the hottest!" Megan wasn't particularly fond of overly bulky blokes, but you give her someone with a lean body and a bit of muscle, especially a nice set of abs, and she was putty in your hands. "Course, us quidditch girls aren't so bad either." She grinned.

Rather than slap her as Megan would have done when she was sober, the former Hufflepuff took Alicia seriously. "Yanno, he probably'd let me if dinner was invovled," she mused. "I mean, it's not like it'd be a burden on him or anything. Could be fun. Good time for all." She rested her chin in her hand, propping it up with her elbow. "Maybe I should go track him down. Merlin knows I could use some fun."

"Damn right, we have the arse, legs and arms that make the boys swoon," she said with a laugh. Truth was in Hogwarts a lot of guys were intimidated by Quidditch playing girls but as Angelina said it only weeded out the weak from the men.

"You should track him down," she said, wondering vaguely if George would send her a howler if he knew what she was doing. "Not now though. You want to be sober and remember feeling him up. I'm sure he'd be tickled pink, you should ask him. Buy him some chocolates or something cheesy like that. You two would be cute."

Megan lifted her arm up and gave the tiny amount of arm fat a poke. "Wish they'd be more open about it sometimes," she grumbled. Megan hadn't been chased after since her days with Spencer. She a million male friends and... no boyfriends.

A howler? Maybe. Or roses.

"That's true," she mused, her her free hand lifted to trace lazy circles around the rim of her glass. "But it'd be weird, maybe. He's kind of like my really hot older brother. You never know, though, it could be like that guy in Clueless." She was speaking of a Muggle movie- it was second nature to a girl with a Muggle parent. She tended to forget wizards were out of the loop of most things.

"At least you get compliments," Alicia said with a wry grin. "I'm just another guy, it was a bloody miracle Roger ever noticed I was a girl to begin with. Thank Merlin for these," she said jokingly, grabbing her boobs and laughing.

"You've seen Clueless? I love that movie! Tell me you have seen Princess Bride and I'll date you," she teased, taking a sip of the fresh pint placed in front of her. "Sometimes you don't notice you like someone until you take a step back. George is a great catch. Don't date him because you're desperate though, date him because you want to. I'd hate to have to yell at you for hurting him," she said, only half serious with her warning glare.

As Alicia grabbed her chest, Megan peered down at hers with a frown. She had certainly never been blessed in that particular department. "Guess that means I'm out of luck."

Meg rolled her eyes. "Of course I've seen The Princess Bride. Who hasn't?" A large portion of the Wizarding popultaion, actually. "And if you think Georgie's such a good date, how come you haven't gone after him? You've been friends for a while, yeah? You'd make a cute couple, yanno."

"Megan, you act like a girl. I don't think there has every been a guy who forgot that you were one, luck isn't an issue."

"Me? Me and George? We've always been friends, good friends, it was never worth the risk of thinking of him as anything else I guess," she said, finger scooping up a bead of sweat that was running down her glass. "I tried the whole date a friend thing, didn't work out too well. Besides, I have a thing against being cute," she teased, taking another drink.
