At this point I'm going to have to invest half a fortune in crayons and paper, with how many drawings of dinosaurs my son is getting done. He's seen a few of the smaller ones now, that have been relatively harmless and running through the woods, and he's enthralled.

I've heard a few people talk about tea on the network, I'd be grateful for suggestions of a kind that soothes a throat? I'm afraid my vocal cords are shot and require a little downtime after the recovery efforts in Atlantis and the city. I've taken to carrying around a little erase board with me everywhere but if you run into me and it's been stolen by the toddler, you have my apologies in advance. Usually takes about three or four days of resting it when my throat's been put through the wringer.

Hey y'all! It's September already, which means there is a brand new menu at Rose Apothecary! This time I tried something a little different and all pies are available as vegan and vegetarian options. They are also fae-friendly because I know y'all were asking and I wanted to make sure everyone could enjoy the same things! ♥

You might notice that the pies have names this time around because a lot of baking comes from sharing with others and y'all have truly been a wonderful inspiration during my time here. I look forward to seeing everyone participating on Friday for speed dating where Jack and I will be checking you in and helping the gracious, amazing Alexis Rose. But also it is Beyoncé's birthday and we have to celebrate it in style!

Hey y'all! I've seen a lot of people seem pretty sad lately, and I thought I'd offer my condolences and two new things to do as distractions?

First, the Pie Club is official! Or as official as it is going to get by me announcing it here! We're going to meet biweekly at Asynja Meadery because Torunn said it was okay, so everyone make sure to thank her for providing a space for us to meet and also being allowed to use her oven if we need to! And also thank Brigitte who without her suggestion we would never have a club to begin with! ♥ Feel free to bring pie to share or recipes you might want to try. I have a lot of baking questions for y'all too! I've also been using a few ingredients to make pies edible by everyone, including fae! (I told you I wouldn't forget!)

Second, is that a few of you mentioned wanting to play hockey, or wanting to at least learn how to skate and I'd really love to show y'all! We might even have enough for a whole team, and really the next best thing to pie is being on the ice. And goodness, especially in this heat. If y'all are interested, let me know so I can get a headcount and I'll find a place for us to practice!

Apologies to anyone near the pond by the Quills this morning, I was attacked by what looked like a devilish, evil sort of flying seahorse? I've had a few friends in my life that wouldn't have minded adding knives to their tails, but this just seems a bit extreme for all parties involved.

But! If your walls shook or you heard an annoyingly loud screech, that was me dispatching the beast, so the pond is safe again for the time being. But it did a good job at scaring the fish away, much to my annoyance.

So I mentioned my clinic, but a little more about it.

It's located in the city and will service anyone that needs help and healing. I need help with the clinic (doctors/nurses/healers/interns/receptionists/janitorial) and, separately, I'm also keeping a list of people on hand for whenever there's a widespread need for doctors/nurses/healers.

I had the following people volunteer last time. Please let me know if you're still interested/no longer interested or if someone's no longer around.

And it was brought up last time, but I'm offering classes on first aid and sex ed. First first aid class is this Saturday at 10 AM. Sex ed will be Sunday 2 PM. I'm also taking suggestions for the clinic's name. I also had a few people offer up to acquire supplies, so if that's still on offer, please let me know.

Okay, like, announcements:

1. Six has been awesome and if you haven't seen it yet, get yourself to the theater for some culture and flashy costumes. Tomorrow's the last night!

2. Visiting Atlantis was luckily not a one-time thing! Our resident Atlantean Ambassador and Shirtless Model, Arthur Curry, has worked with the kingdom down below to broker an entrance to and from Atlantis. There's a checkpoint you'll need to meet at where you can basically get your fins and be escorted into the kingdom, and tech-savvy people are going to work on underwater communications, but it's like totally this beautiful unification of two dolphins forming a heart shape so no one should ruin it by being all "I want to speak to the manager." Just enjoy it for what it is.

3a. To celebrate this momentous occasion, if you spend $10 at Rose Apothecary for any purchase, you receive a free glitter pot! This glitter is biodegradable and cruelty-free.
