Where am I from, today would be Life Day. I believe that it's a little similar to your Earth's Christmas, maybe, in some ways, but it's a celebration of life and a remembrance of those who have rejoined the Force. Since it's about harmony, even we Jedi honored the day. It feels a little strange to be here and not see the traditional festivities, and while I could have hosted such an event, it doesn't feel right. I will only say that today is a good time to cherish your friends and loved ones.

Happy Life Day, everyone.

A most joyous Life Day to you.

Would you care to describe how the holiday is celebrated?

And to you as well.

It originated on Kashyykk, the homeworld of the Wookies. Because theirs is a forested planet, there is of course a Tree of Life, which I think can be similar to your Christmas tree (although the Wookie ones are enormous). Also, there are Life Day orbs, which are carried by many, like lanterns. It is said to represent the light from the afterlife, where the souls of our departed ones dwell.

It sounds absolutely lovely. How wonderful it is that a holiday among a certain group of people has touched so many that it has spread, not only throughout an entire planet, but to several other planets, as well.

I'm imagining there's a procession with these lanterns? Is it a day of solemn remembrance, or joyful celebration? It rather sounds like both, given the nature of the focus.

Cherishing is good. You want some Life Day company?

I can hardly celebrate Life Day while turning away a friend. Also, I have a Life Day gift for you.

Yes. But there is no law saying one cannot hold the tenets of Life Day all year, you know.

It would be silly if there was, right? Like who says you can only cherish loved ones one day a year. Everything has been so Is there any law saying it has to be for people who have passed? Like what about people not here?

Happy Life Day to you. Just like any celebration, it is in what you bring to it. Joy or solemnity.

I think sometimes it's a mixture of both. One of my brothers showed up and I'm still missing two.

Yes, it is the energy that moves through all living things and permeates the universe. The Jedi, the order I am from, we are sensitive to it and can use it.
