She checked her hip, then wandered into the building. Aragorn stomped, snorted, and generally did not want his mistress going in, but by then, she was already inside. It looked like an old run down hotel that gave up super creepy vibes. She didn't mind that, she'd been to Helheim and Valhalla. The idea of ghosts didn't bother her. What did bother her was the fact somewhere under it all, she was feeling a little unsettled.
She stalked the halls, looking for whatever was nudging at her. She didn't know what was worse, not knowing or running into it. Dark eyes flicked over the walls, hunting. Things didn't seem bad until she turned a corner and a necroblade sliced through her hip and pinned her to the wall. The sudden realization that the feeling she'd been getting? Was Hela. Was the dead she could not control. The dead that did not listen to her. She snarled in annoyance as she gripped the blade with her fingers, slowly pulling the midnight black blade from her. That was just not fair and she knew it. She twirled the blade in her fingers as she started down the hall.
Her knife was out, and the necroblade in the other, she was ready for anything. She moved silently, stalking the halls. She was not one that easily jumped in fear, but fear was settling like a cold snake in her belly, the tendrils wrapping slowly around her heart. But fear did something to the Valkyrie, it pissed her off. She did not fear things. At least, she did not admit such things to the population at large.
She moved easily, fingers clutching the blades tighter than perhaps was normal, and she came face to face with Hela. Rage took over and she punched the woman in the face. Hela. Deep down the woman was what she feared most, only matched by being thrown aside again by Odin. Anger made her angry, and fueled the fight she started.
She had no control over the dead, not here, not in this building. Hela seemed to have no problem with it as she swarmed Valkyrie with them. She went down under the ghosts and fought her way clear, shivering as the cold sunk into her bones. She turned a necroblade back against Hela, bleeding the other woman. The sight of the blood spurred the Valkyrie on and she fought harder, trading blows with the woman.
Fear had a good grip, though, and she worried she was not capable of beating her. Again. For a third time. She bent under the fear, her blade faltering, fingers dropping one knife. She was crushed under the weight of her fear, and crumpled under it, collapsing at Hela’s feet. The other woman sent a blade down into her shoulder, but even as she did, Valkyrie surged upwards and drove a necroblade up under her chin, piercing her skull and dropping her like a stone at her own feet. She did not have a lot of time before she was deposited back outside of the hotel, hitting the dirt with a confused face. Blood dripped down from various wounds - her hip bled freely, her shoulder was pierced and she was bruised, though the bruises were already fading slowly.
Her fingers sought the white hide of her faithful Aragorn who was pacing with worry, then pulled herself up, dragging herself up onto his back. “I think…” she started softly as she twirled a necroblade in her fingers then put it in her boot. “That woman shall not haunt my dreams again. Home, please, my dear. I have a few wounds to stitch up.” she dripped on his white hide, vowing to scrub him clean once she was bandaged up again.
They took off out of the forest back towards the main apartments. She was looking forward to patching herself up, to be Asgardian was to enjoy a good fight and she was grinning widely. Things were wild, her life was not boring, and she? She would have it no other way. Not at all.
