Thurvishar D'Lorus ([info]thatdlorusbrat) wrote in [info]valloic,
That is... a complicated question, although I doubt you intended as much. Officially, no; all noble Houses in Quur are descended directly from the lines of God Kings. Nobles are identifiable because they will have certain genetic markers exclusive to these Houses (in House D'Lorus's case, all children of the House will exhibit black eyes, like what I possess); House Bastards are typically identified by these same physical attributes. House D'mon has blue eyes and blond hair; House D'Talus have red skin and skin, etc. That said, the bloodlines are so watered down by time that the genetic markers are no longer present in each generation, and most Houses fake with glamours the specific attributes that they are expected to possess. I wasn't, for example, born with black eyes. So, to answer your question, not really. Plenty of Houses have absorbed those not of their original bloodlines if it was politically advantageous, and then those adoptees have been granted the expected physical attributes to continue the illusion of pure lineage.

...are you trying to warn me about potential assassination via curry on bread?
