This Friday and Saturday night Galdin opened its doors to both overnight guests (who would also get breakfast/lunch) and to diners by limited reservation for dinner.
Each night was a different limited menu with three different fish/meat choices, two pasta, two desserts, a bevy of wines, and two vegetarian alternatives. Ignis' food tends toward the complicated, but he did try to have at least a couple of non-fussy options for people who might not like too many flourishes or green things. (Ahem) Breakfasts were a variety of different pastries each morning, and egg and fruit dishes and other breakfast staples, along with a few more creative things and fresh juices and EXTREMELY good/strong coffee. Also mimosas.
There are two rooms up top in Galdin that have a clear view out into the water, and are spacious and pricey. The rest are beneath with more traditional windows and are less expensive, but none of it is cheap. The dining is all outdoor, but with roofs and fans and such to keep the heat at bay, and with the breeze off the water it's generally very pleasant. The kitchen is a round affair in the center where Ignis can be seen cooking everything. It's overall a romantic sort of atmosphere, or at least on the intimate side.
Because of the last minute nature of it, Ignis did scramble to find help because he had been Procrastinating actually hiring, which means that various Chocobros, Losers, and other Friends of the Families stepped up to help out by running orders or serving or being hosts.
It is generally KIND OF HARD to get a word in edgewise with Iggy most of the weekend because he is busy being a perfectionist. But aside from a few minor mishaps, there are no MAJOR catastrophes. Feel free to comment if your characters ate, stayed over, helped out etc.
(As a note, Noct is Still There through the opening so that Ignis is not also having an existential crisis during this, so he needn't be conspicuously missing!)
