I turned 17 today. Not that I really celebrated birthdays before. Usually, my sister and I were expected to display our skills to our father and grandfather. Sometimes we'd fight things, but mostly it was to show we were improving every year. It's [...] weird not having to do that now, even though I've kept up my training as best I can. And since I'm not ready to show off any of the healing I'm learning yet, I figured—maybe tea?

So, I totally forgot about the ball thing tomorrow. I was going to say screw it and just show up alone. Who really needs a date, right? Then I sort of thought about it and figured it might be a little more fun with another person so... is there anyone out there who wants to go but doesn't want to go alone? Definitely doesn't have to be romantic but, either way, no one under 26. You still have to be old enough to legally rent a car.
