One of the reasons I liked living on the east coast was, there were no earthquakes. I did not miss the earthquakes one bit and I would appreciate it if they would stop now.

Yes, I know that it's strange that I'm less worried about the giants and more worried about the earthquakes.

What the fuck happened.

When I left California ten years ago, I went as far as I could get with the thought to never look back. I started a new life in New York, and it was a good life. It's my life, you know?

I never intended to come back to California. But now that I'm here, I'm thinking about staying. Why the hell would I do that? My childhood was miserable, there's so few good memories here for me.

I came back for my mother's funeral. I didn't come back to stay. But there's something...holding me here. I can't rally explain it even though I feel it. It's like I've already forgotten my life in New York.

So, yeah. Hi. I'm Alex. And I'm staying.

Woke up this morning to find my prom dress, from the dreams, hanging on the back of my closet door. I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do with it since it's clearly a prom dress and clearly from ten years ago. Has anyone else gotten clothes from their dreams that they just can't wear? What have you done with them?

A friendly reminder to be patient with health care workers. We are doing our best to attend to everyone in a timely manner but some cases are more urgent than others. I know this is a scary time for all of us but I assure you, we will get through this together.

It's so weird, dreaming about my sister being dead when she is very much alive, in the real world. I barely see her in the real world, but at least she's still alive and I can at least try to talk to her. Although, the dreams feel so real that I sometimes forget she's not dead; especially after the one I had last night. The ten year anniversary of her death was coming up and I found out that her death was likely not an accident like we thought. It's all so much, so fast and I don't know what to think or how to feel about it all; both in and out of the dreams.

It's always good to see the extended family over the festive period but just as nice if not better when they finally leave and you're given your home back.

I love them, I do, but it's nice to have things back to normal.

Or as normal as it gets in Orange County.

Jesus, that was a rough shift.

Huge traffic accident with multiple victims and some of which had to be cut out of their cars so the hospital was sheer insanity.

I'm exhausted.

I should probably Uber home and not drive or I might end up causing an accident myself.

Seriously?

I was stumbling out of bed to get to my kitchen for coffee and ran right into a jukebox. YES, A JUKEBOX. Why? Because I had a dream about a bar/restaurant we frequent in our dreams and apparently I needed the jukebox from it in my apartment.

It couldn't wait until after I move into a new place? tghtwrjga. It's too early for this shit.

Why is it so hard for people not to be creeps. You don't need to stare at someone as you drive by and then have to turn your attention back to the road, only to pull into a parking lot they're going by and just STAY there and seem to wait around and watch for what direction they're going and then pull out when it seems you've figured it out and show up where they're heading.

It's just..ugh.

Today is already fucked up, seriously the last thing I needed to deal with

Woke up basically kissing the ceiling this morning, took about an hour for me to get back down, and now? Well, now I've frozen the door shut just by breathing on it. What the fuck is going on?

I had wondered why a lot of you seemed to be so invested in your dreams, but I think I've figured it out. I'm generally pretty good at remembering my dreams, but this one felt more like a memory than anything else. It wasn't anything special, just a conversation with my mother which I'm sure I must have had here when I was a kid too, except we were living in Roswell, New Mexico (yes, that Roswell).

It was actually really nice. I miss having conversations like that with her.

Today, a man from a generation twice removed from me tried talking to me when I had my headphones on. And then, became upset when I asked him to repeat what he'd said because: I HAD HEADPHONES ON.

It's true having the Force means I could technically understand him if I put in the effort. But why do Boomers not get the concept of headphones?

And I have other questions. Cut for length )

I can not stand when someone underestimate me.

In court today, the client of the other lawyer smirked when I walked in, like he just knew his lawyer was better. HA!

I won the case and than some! Then he had the nerve to remark, "I should have hired you, baby doll." I promptly informed him, if he wanted a baby doll, he should buy one at the store and he couldn't afford me and walked off.

This is a silly thing to post about, but I just can't with people these days. I love when people think that they can tell celebrities what they should and shouldn't be posting on their social media as if they're can't try to be like normal people too.

There's a dancer from Dancing with the Stars and she just got married. The other day she posted pictures from her bachelorette party and she had a penis shaped cake and half the comments were people saying how they thought she was more classy than that and how it was inappropriate cause she's a role model. People need to get a life.

And now I have to go pretend that I didn't just complain about people on social media.

That said, would you like to help attach this new arm? T'Challa gave it to me, so I'm assuming his sister and other scientists in Wakanda built it. You may be interested in seeing what their technology is like.

Just a general PSA to everyone on here who frequents Disney. Just because you see your favorite character’s last guest is finished with their photo session and has left the area - doesn’t mean you just run up there - You need to wait for their handler to call for the next guest and then come up.

Sometimes the character is going on break or they just need a minute. Or the handler isn’t expecting you and thinks you might be a threat. And since they are responsible for their character friends safety...you could end up getting hurt.

If anyone is looking for a new place to eat, you should check out Ortecho's Diner. It's a family owned and has some of the best milkshakes in the county and no, I'm totally not biased. Okay, I'm a little biased, but it's still true.

And if you've been there before then you probably agree with me about the milkshakes.

And for anyone who hasn't already guessed, yes, I'm plugging my parents' diner. I'm Liz Ortecho and have recently moved back after about ten years. It's kind of crazy how much has changed in that time.
