So this is the Valar net. Cool. I'm Gale. Lived in the OC my whole life. I own the Peppy Pie pizza joint, so there's that. I really don't know what else to say. Uh. I live with two dogs, two cats, all rescues who are living their best life now. Am I supposed to say I like long walks on the beach, and preferably after dark? I don't know. One of my customers suggested I check out the network, so here I am. I'm really not sure what to say, or whatever. So, hi, I guess?

With all the weird weather going on in other states, it's a good time to remind everyone to have a small survival kit ready.

It doesn't have to be anything fancy. Flashlight, batteries, candles, matches, bottled water, non-perishable food and first aid supplies would be enough.

So is anyone having a Super Bowl party next Sunday? I know there will be some on campus, but I'm not really sure I want to go to any of them. Chances are good they'll be too loud and crazy to actually pay attention to the game.

Okay, so I'm curious what other people think about this. I was out earlier and overheard two girls having a conversation about relationships. Girl #1 asked girl #2 if she thought that if you're married and your friends are going to be staying at a hotel overnight if it was appropriate to stay with them. She said she didn't think it was and then started talking about how she didn't think it was right for someone in a relationship to hang out solo with a friend of the opposite sex.

The second part really kind of threw me cause Clary and I hang out solo all the time and as far as I know Izzy doesn't think it's wrong for us to do that. And I would trust Izzy to hang out with guy friends and not do anything. I mean, you have to trust your significant other whether you're just dating or married, right? If you trust them then there shouldn't be a problem with who they're friends with/hanging out with.

Any one else got an opinion? I'm curious what other people think.

You know... I'm not entirely sure what is going on but it feels... colder somehow. I'm not sure how, exactly, but it does. I'm going to have to invest in more sweaters.

Also, I'm pretty sure that no one keeps ledgers for bootlegging anymore.

Dream!Theo also seems to be more into reading books than having tea parties with little sisters too.

It's a bit weird to be back in the OC after so long, but I am. Looks like I'm back for good too.

Just a friendly reminder that if you don't know how to properly deep fry a turkey, don't. Or if you decide to try, make sure your fire extinguishers are charged.

So I had to re-live my mom dying in my latest dream.

...I just don't know how I'm going to cope with this, I keep telling myself they're not real but...

This talking gorilla with a freaking brain in a jar came and told me that mom was murdered. But my parents died in a car crash, god it's like this awful sick joke's got into my head and it's all I can think about.

I've been spending a bit too much time online looking at Halloween baking ideas because I definitely want to spook out the menu near the end of the week thanks to Halloween being on a Saturday.

I found some good ones at this site, so if you see something you want me to try making let me know and I'll even give you some for free. Definitely going to make some worms and dirt because that's one of my favorite items.

Also, may throw in a discount if you come in costume to pick anything once the Halloween items hit my shelves on Thursday.

This is a friendly reminder that the clocks are going back in a week. Make sure that you change the batteries in your smoke detectors and check that both your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors are not expired. It's also a good idea to check the charge on your fire extinguishers too. I know it's a pain to do but every second matters in the case of fire.

One thing I never had to do back in Chicago was battle wildfires. This is unlike anything I've ever seen before.

It's been a long week. My team has been ordered a 48 hour furlough before tagging back in. I don't even have the energy to get groceries to make a meal. I'm grabbing something quick and going to crash.

I've never been one of those people who hate gender reveal parties, but considering this latest news about how a recent one started one of the wildfires, I'm beginning to turn to the side of the people who are saying enough is enough. Using a cake to reveal the gender is fine, but using a smoke grenade is really something you should rethink before deciding on it. Use some common sense.

Alright, I'm hallucinating, right? Or dreaming. Nothing that has happened in the last two days is real. It's like out of a movie or something, but how? It doesn't make any sense. I feel like I should get in bed, pull the covers over my head and hope that when I wake up it's all over.

I do not recommend cross country moves. I have a hell of a lot to unpack but I'm done for the night. I'm going to sit on my lawn chair with a beer and catch the game.
