After returning from Prague very recently (and overcoming the jet lag - well, I am still in the process of that, actually!) I highly recommend the city for a visit. Brilliant architecture, good beer, and hearty duck dishes - they do consume a lot of duck there, sort of matching our love for chicken here. Ah, poultry!

I highly recommend a vacation in general - it had been far too long since I've taken one, personally. Now I've returned to start a new job and can't wait to see what will befall us next in this strange universe of ours.

I am also continuing my admittedly slow-going but worthwhile study of the dreaming phenomenon here - please, if you've noticed anything new, have experienced a particularly intriguing quirk as of late, or simply wish to discuss the phenomenon itself, my internet door is always open.

Okay, getting shot in the shoulder with an arrow is not my idea of fun. The arrow being laced with fucking fae kryptonite is even less fun. Especially when said fae kryptonite not only stops me from healing but also serves as a tracking device. Compared to what my previous dreams have been like, that was fairly low key. I'll definitely take that dream over the others.

[Filtered to Science-oriented people]

The fae kryptonite I mentioned above, I have it if anyone wants to research it. It's technically a mineral that's alive, if that peaks anyone's interest. It was dug out of my shoulder this morning, so that part is at least taken care of.

[Filtered to Kenzi]

Uh. Dyson has a son. And I...uh...may have slept with him. Before realizing who he was. That was...kind of way awkward. He has a lot of the same mannerisms that Dyson has. It's fucking freaky.

If people want to walk into my lab making absurd claims, they better be able to provide me with peer reviewed scholarly sources when challenged or be prepared to do actual research and then write me an essay on why they're wrong.

Bloody hell. I even tried to given them a way out by offering that they may be conflating issues. But no.

Can someone tell me what it means when someone has 'classic lines'? 'Cause this lady saw me on campus the other day and spent half an hour begging me to come pose for her drawing class because I had "such beautiful classic lines". I gave her my number just to get her to go away and she hasn't stopped calling me all weekend, so I guess you could say it's been a poseitively weird time for the last few days.

How's everyone else's long weekend goin'? And would anyone else with 'classic lines' like to pose for this lady so she'll maybe leave me alone?

I'm starting to think the reason infrastructure across the country suffers is that Orange County eats up the budget all by itself. If it's not portals gouging holes in the streets, it's craters in the middle of nowhere spewing demons. This is why insurance premiums are so damn high.

In slightly lighter news, there will be a celebratory party at the Crowne Plaza Costa Mesa, outdoors and pool side, drinks and snacks, a week from this Friday. Probably a little narcissistic to throw my own engagement party, but I hardly care. Jean put a ring on it, I plan to have as many parties as possible to show off my future wife.

Anyone is welcome, naturally, but gifts are more certainly not welcome -unless you're bestowing praises on my redhead, feel free to do that.

Round #3 with Hellmaster (may it be the last ever, peace out jerkface) went a little differently then I'm used to - Lord of Nightmares just went whoosh out of my body after Big Bad Destruction happened, no bargaining necessary - but I can't complain. My hair's not blonde, nothing's going into the abysmal toilet of nothingness, it's a good day. Now the next adventure involves finding the Stupid Swordsman a new legendary sword because his got transported back into its rightful overlord, and some idiot village mayor tried to convince me Excalibur was real so I punched him in the face. I don't know how I didn't get arrested but, well, can't complain there either.

In other news, Pete and I are looking for a doctor in our lovely dream community whose got some experience with genetics. We want to get our recently mobile child tested for this mutant gene, and I know there's a couple of you out there who might know someone?

Has anybody be else ever googled, creepy google earth pictures? There's some pretty bizarre things out there that google has caught. There's one, that's actually been reshot since, where it looks like blood on a dock and someone getting rid of a body. What it actually is, is two people and a dog and what looks like blood is actually the dock wet from the dog having been in the water. At first glance though, it does look pretty creepy.

A rather substantial question, when considering theories on multiple worlds, is the question 'can signals be exchanged between worlds?' In some theories, no. Some even go so far as to say that alternate worlds are so far away that information signals cannot be exchanged between any two worlds. Individuals are bound to the 'parent' world and even though we have copies of ourselves in other worlds they are only counterparts of the individuals in whichever the parent world is. Though that begs the question, which is the parent world?

I think we all know that interaction, however, is possible. The dreams we experience are genuine pieces of knowledge about other worlds - we can safely say we know what our dream selves are thinking, correct? It's something I've been considering more and more as I attempt to couch my current research within previous findings. I'm always curious about how dreams play out for others as well, so if you have particular insights when it comes to interpreting the thoughts/actions of your other self, please, do share!

In other news, who knew you could send a Nutella bouquet to a friend or loved one? Whatever world we do live in, it is incredibly strange and fascinating.

So get this. In my dreams, sloths run the DMV. Have you ever heard anything more true to life? Maybe they run the DMV here. The humans are just a front.

Anyway. We had to go run plates for this car since Judy decided that she wanted to find this car that Emmett Otterton took. Of course I was still being an asshole because I'm annoyed that she's forcing me to help her with this case I don't really care about, so I made sure to tell my friend at the DMV a joke to make the process even longer.

After we finally get the location of where it is, it's nighttime. I figured she'd just give up since it's in Tundratown and it's night, but no. We went and it's locked, so I told her I'd done my part so she should just give me the carrot pen. She needs a warrant to go in. So what does she do? Throw the pen over the fence. So I go to get it, which is helping her cause because you don't need a warrant if you have probable cause to search and a "shifty animal sneaking in" is probable cause. Great.

Yeah, so it turns out that the otter was in that car and that said car belonged to a guy I was on bad terms with. Excellent news. Apparently I sold the guy an expensive wool rug that was made out of the fur of a skunk's ass. Outside of the dreams, this is hilarious, but in them, it's not great since we have giant polar bear guards taking us to see Mr. Big.

Who knew being a fox was so "all go all the time".

Scientists in Britain have the right idea! Developing tests to diagnose sad sheep. I find it's important to follow the news and world events, yes, but I think we all know how depressing that is these days - take the bits of good news where you can get them. Especially after the devastating blow that is the United States withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement. Egad, as we say in the laboratory...

But anyway, I do have a point to this post. Are there any telepathic types out there, willing to test a device meant to amplify brainwaves? Nothing painful or intrusive, I assure you - I received the plans and designs to build the device here, the same device in my dreams, which was destroyed after an attack on our facility. But here it would be used to study brainwaves - those who dream versus those who do not. Perhaps there are differences! I hope even the slightest bit of information would help us all better understand the dreaming phenomenon secluded to just Orange County.

You know... I always thought the Avengers and the X-Men would eventually come to blows about something, but I honestly expected that Stark would be leading when we did, not Rogers.

Utopia was never meant to see that kind of battle, not really. It was a home, a safe haven, just for us. And yet a bunch of non-mutants come barging in to do what they think is right.

For once, I kind of agree with Cyclops on his stance. It's been a while since I could say that.

It is the first time I've woken up energised from a dream battle and not exhausted.

I hate to bother those on this network for something that may seem trivial, but eventually I will run out of sick leave. And there is also that I dislike being away from my work laboratory when there is, well, plenty of work to actually be done.

But I have something of a problem. Magic is one specialization I am not well-versed in, but if there is a way to, say, hide appearances in the event that one has experienced a rather jarring 'dream bleedover'? I would be most appreciative of the help. And would find a way to provide compensation, of course.

At least being home has allowed me to read in excess. The world's largest dinosaur footprint was only recently just discovered in Australia! That is exciting, isn't it?

The worst thing about hospitals is supposed to be the food, I think. I'm pretty sure that's what I'm supposed to be complaining about. Only the worst thing has definitely been the physical therapy. Worst part of my existence right now. Ugh. I'm missing so much school because of this. That's the second worst part of my existence right now. I know I have a good excuse, but ugh.

This dream bleedover thing is a pain. The least it could do was give me money for the hospital bills, but they've been suspiciously quiet since I got here.

Good morning, and happy Monday! What an exciting way to start the work week, with news that scientists may have discovered the lost continent of Mauritia! Formerly located in the Indian Ocean, not much is known about it besides, well, where it's located. However, the discovery of embedded zircon crystals that are almost two billion years old, much older than the island of Mauritius where they were discovered, suggest that there's something lurking underneath. Figuring out what happened is vital to understanding what may be in store for good old Mother Earth in the future, in terms of continents potentially breaking up.

But oh, I apologize, I've gotten ahead of myself. Hank McCoy, newest member of this forum and fresh with an account. It's very interesting to read! I don't specialize in the science behind dreaming but reading what a majority of posters have to say certainly fights back against the neurobiological theory of activation-synthesis hypothesis, which suggests that dreams don't mean anything at all, doesn't it?

Well, anyway! I have been told I should get out a little for more enjoyment and/or lighthearted pleasure. Supposedly stopping to get my morning coffee on the way in to the laboratory every day does not count. An online forum is a good way to get people's opinions on what they consider as such!

Has anyone else ever had a dream--the kind that seems peculiar to the OC--where their dreamself did something that their wakingself finds very disappointing or highly questionable or morally distasteful? And perhaps understood why the dreamself might make that choice but still felt rather appalled by said choice?

If you have felt that, I am so sorry. If you haven't, I hope you don't experience it, as it is not at all pleasant.

Dad didn't wake up today, and uhm... well lets just say that I don't think he's waking up anytime soon. I tried everything I know - mental telegrams, brewing the good coffee, turning on the fire alarm in our house (the kids thought that was funny), but no dice. He's just... sleeping. Not even peacefully. I just duct taped his visor to his face.

So I guess we're all going to have to manage without him until he wakes up.

There is now a rock opera version of Everyman. A German rock opera, no less. While medieval morality plays are not the first works I would think of when translating into a completely different performance genre, I am always interested in seeing new takes on older works. I hope a full recording of the production will be made available, as the clips I have found are...intriguing.

I'm providing a link that gives some information about the productions as well as couple of videos. The character design for Death--or, in this case, Der Tod--is not exactly work-safe. There are costume breasts. This Death looks like some strange melding of a xenomorph, Gary Oldman's elderly Dracula, and a dominatrix.

Here is link, should any be curious: http://operetta-research-center.org/jedermann-will-rock-erfurt/

I don't think they're dreams, they feel more like memories, but that's impossible. You see, I have never lived in New York at an age older than early middle school. Some of you people, most of which I have never met before, are actually in them. Even if for only snippets. People I have NEVER met, never heard of, never seen even on this thing; they're in them too, it is impossible.

There are quite a few key factors when an experience is a genuine haunting as well as ways to debunk them, from what I've read. So, what I am asking is, is there anyone who has experienced anything unexplainable, at their homes, who would be willing to allow me to come do some experiments.

However, I was intrigued recently and decided to do some research. While it's very easy to explain away a lot of the stories that have been reported about supposed ghost sightings, even I have to admit that there are some instances that are more difficult to explain away.

Is it merely a coincidence that so many people are experiencing unexplained instances at the same time?
