I am happy to announce that after that dreadful experience last month several years of going back and forth, I finally decided to buy a boat.

I've named her The Temeraire, and the irony of naming her for a dragon that I had originally named for the ship is not lost on me.

I've spent the last couple weeks making sure she's seaworthy and decorating the cabin to my liking, and I think that she's finally ready to hoist the sails and head for open water.

I've been dreaming more of the Fourth Coalition over the last few weeks. I'm afraid joining the war with the Prussians has gone about as well as I suspected it might; we have been thoroughly Routed at every Turn. Temeraire has attempted to point out some Weaknesses in our aerial tactics, though the Prussians will not listen to him on account of his Dragonhood. They even scoff when they learn that Lien, a dragon who'd sworn vengeance against Temeraire whilst we were in China is commanding the French armies, and refuse to listen when I attempt to warn them of her intelligence and cunning. With the fall of Prince Ferdinand, however, I believe the Prussians will be more willing to listen to Temeraire's Wisdom, which I can only be glad for.

Most interestingly tonight, my dream self has lain eyes on Napoleon himself for the first time. He's not at all what my Dream Self thought he would be, I think. Lien has taken him as her companion as well, which is a truly harrowing thought. The Napoleon in our own history was formidable enough; I'm afraid with Lien's Insights he may be near unstoppable.

Has anybody else woken up to find a item from their Dreams the same night they started having them? Or maybe a couple of items even?

I wear this ring in mine that looks kind of like a cat's face and when I woke up this morning it was on my hand and Plagg was on the nightstand with Camembert cheese.

My Dreams didn't really start off on a good note though. I was back in Paris living with my dad and it was my birthday. My best friend there wanted to throw me a party but my father refused and even went so far as to ban him from the house as a bad influence on me. The next thing I knew there was someone putting all of the adults in bubbles for not being fun and preventing kids from having fun and sending them into the atmosphere and then throwing me a party. He called himself The Bubbler. I thought it was great until I realized how unhappy all of my classmates and friends were about their parents which is when I went into the house and turned into a superhero named Cat Noir? I guess to get help and then this superhero wearing a black leather cat suit with ears named Cat Noir showed up and went out to fight him with another superhero, a girl dressed up as a Ladybug named...Ladybug. We managed to defeat him and then after destroying his weapon to release the akuma inside of it and Ladybug turned it back into a regular butterfly - The Bubbler turned back into my best friend Nino and all of the parents came back so it all worked out in the end.

It was just really weird.

I phoned my father today to wish him a happy Father's Day, though unfortunately, he was too busy to make it to the phone. My mother assured me she'd pass on my regards, however.

I hope all the Fathers on this network had a splendid day, and that those of you with positive relations with your fathers were able to spend some time either with them or speaking with them.

So happy to be back in California and settled in one place for a little while.

I am quite grateful that my life here does not involve millennia-long power struggles. Nor do I need to worry about my past revisiting me quite as harshly in this world as it does in the dream world.

So hi. I'm new here. New on the network, not the OC. I've lived here my whole life. Lucky me, right?

Summer's just starting and I'm already bored. Anyone got any recommendations? Nothing physical. I don't do sports or anything like that. Books, music, movies, shows to binge, foods to cook. Stuff like that.

So since my last dream I've received two items from them. A trinket that Finn made me as well as the wrist cuffs we were all wearing. Murphy helped me get it off the other day so now I have my cuff, on my nightstand, just trying to figure out what to do with it. What does everyone do with the things they get from the dreams?

Speaking of the dreams, I had another one last night. This one jumped back and forth between when my dad found out that the ARK was low on oxygen and us on the ground. Long story short, I saved Jasper's life, had to kill someone else. Found out that we now have to deal with acid fog and came to terms with the fact that it wasn't Wells who turned my father in and got him floated, but my mother. Wells was protecting me from the truth the whole time.

Things went rather poorly in my Dreams in Turkey, though knowing what I know of History, I cannot say that I am Overmuch Surprised. I doubt very much that our Decisions in Turkey will have much improved Relations between the Turks and the British, but I'm certain that we couldn't have made them much worse than they were already.


I will say that there are many Things that I take for granted in this time that I may not have otherwise thought about if it weren't for the Dreams, chief among them being that most Nations no longer send children to War. I hope very much that that is something I never grow used to, either in the Dreams or in my Waking Life.

Heads up for all the veterans out there (and active service) for tomorrow: Lux is gonna have free drinks for any service member that shows up till midnight. Doors open at five. And yes, I'll have a Missing Man table set up too.

A second dream. I swear this is because of finals! I'm so ready for school break and I never thought I'd say those words. Does everyone always share their dreams here?

I’m really getting tired of them splitting Eren and I into separate groups in these Dreams. I know that he’s a better soldier than me, but I think by now I should have proven my ability to hold my own as long as I’m near him and Mikasa. I’m fast and smart. Well at least General Pyxis gives me credit for being smart - he pulled me into help with making the plan to seal the breach in the wall. Sorry Eren - we kind of decided to just use you in your Titan form to move that boulder. Pyxis sent Eren and Mikasa off with three elite soldiers and that was when I woke up.

Tonight's the soft opening of my new restaurant. Grand opening's this weekend.

This is it. Make or break time. Part of me can't believe I'm finally here.

It’s that time of year again - Laurel and Madison have put their countdown calendar up onto the fridge with how many days there are until the end of the school year. And I am honestly hoping that mum and dad will be willing to take them for a few weeks again this year so that Regulus doesn’t go completely insane.

I'm going to invest in a plywood company I think. With the amount I have to keep buying for my business' windows when they get broken by something it's just a smart move. That and looking into shatterproof windows for the donut shop.

My daughter just called asking to go to where the celebration's at. I said yes. Is that better than her asking for an Ewok as a pet?

I think getting my blaster this morning was a sign. BB-8 and I are going out there. Gotta try to take down some of these Stormtroopers. They're starting to hassle the neighbors and I just can't let that happen. Anyone wanna come join me, I'm gonna make my way towards Navy base in Seal Beach.

Well, it appears I've been adopted by an Ewok. Cute, bit skittish. But he followed me to Pimpernel Outreach and the kids seem to love him. I'm not entirely sure he understands the story that's being read for story time, but he still seems quite taken with it all the same.

Misadventures in trying to make breakfast....

The smoke detector going off while pre-heating the oven. And then trying to make whipped coffee without an electric hand whisk.

Good times, good times. Well, I know how I'm probably spending the weekend now.

Somehow I am not surprised in the least that my first night back home resulted in a new dream. It does seem as though there will be some trouble ahead in them, though I believe I'm now rid of the biggest headache in them. I must admit that I missed them - most especially, I missed Temeraire. I find it truly remarkable how one can miss someone they've never met in real life.

So yes, I have returned from my recent deployment, and am glad to be back home. What have I missed in my absence?

Now that I'm curious, I have a question for people who have been dreaming.

Depending on your dreams, would you rather they be more exciting or more mundane?

My own are pretty simple, but it sounds like some people out there only have nightmares from what I read.

I have an exciting trip planned to South America. Chile, specifically.

Well, exciting for me, probably a lot more boring for other people. Lots of digging in the dirt.

I thought she was going to be sweet, tell me I'm pretty.

We get to spend the whole day together, yay us! Sad thing is, I am tired.

When I left California ten years ago, I went as far as I could get with the thought to never look back. I started a new life in New York, and it was a good life. It's my life, you know?

I never intended to come back to California. But now that I'm here, I'm thinking about staying. Why the hell would I do that? My childhood was miserable, there's so few good memories here for me.

I came back for my mother's funeral. I didn't come back to stay. But there's something...holding me here. I can't rally explain it even though I feel it. It's like I've already forgotten my life in New York.

So, yeah. Hi. I'm Alex. And I'm staying.

So it occurred to me that with everything that happened over the last couple of weeks, the quarantine and my brother turning into a woman, which was the most amusing thing I've ever seen in my life, I never actually introduced myself. So, here I am doing just that. I'm Helen Blackthorn, I'm 23, like making new friends and I'm an exhibit designer at the National History Museum of Los Angeles and it's so good being back to work. I was missing the museum during the shelter in place and was itching to finish the exhibit we were working on when everything closed down.

One of my sailors left his shampoo out during his room inspection. I told him that I would be expecting a 500 word autobiography from his bottle of shampoo on my desk by Monday morning.

From the look he gave me, I'm near certain that he would have preferred a more traditional sort of punishment.

Oh dear. I was forced to return home from work early today, and I'm not sure when I'll be able to return or even leave my home at all.

I am most certain that this sudden urge to devour my crew is not from my dreams. What in the devil is happening to me?

Sometimes I wake up from a dream repeat and I'm like 'oh yeah I was a child soldier' and I start laughing but it's not actually funny I'm just kinda messed up

I joked when I came out to my parents, give it a few months and I'll be asked why I don't have a boyfriend OR girlfriend. Because Mom's a housewife and I'm her biggest hobby.

Guess who just got asked "Have you met any cute boys or cute girls yet this year?" You get three guesses, and the first two don't count. She even suggest I cook for them... and do what? Impress them by being the first person to blow up a stove by trying to boil water? I don't have TIME to date. I've got a job, I'm doing a double major, I've got tryouts for the next musical our uni does before long... What free time do I have for anyone? No matter how cute? I mean if someone cute falls into my lap, they fall into my lap. But I've got stuff to accomplish and that's kind of more important right now? Until then, my free time is devoted to practicing, sports, and trying to play through my Steam library.

The dreams never cease to find new ways to make life interesting. I was awoken this morning by a mountain of snow piled atop me. I was forced to shovel it out the window this morning before it could melt and do too much damage to the hardwood.

I shudder to think about what the downstairs neighbours must have thought when they saw it falling past their window. I can only hope that they were still asleep at six this morning.

There is nothing better than being out on the open water in this beautiful weather.

Our next party should be on one of my ships. A party at sea!

I suppose I should be used to the dreams not happening very often but I’m just dreading when they actually will come now. It’s almost August. I don’t want to wake up screaming on a holiday.

Perhaps it is a sign of my old age where I am actually happy to be home from sea instead of just looking at it as a necessary break between missions. This certainly wasn't the case when I was younger. Though, perhaps, I do not have all the things waiting for me at home that I had hoped I would have at this stage of my life, I suppose I have enough.

I just had my first wreck in years. I swear that rock came out of nowhere.

The ship that took me to China in my dreams has, I'm sad to say, gone up in flames. Luckily, we were docked in Macao, and no one was lost to the flames except for my uniform jacket. Luck being what it is, I was then given urgent orders to make haste to Istanbul so that I can deliver three eggs purchased by the Crown to England before they hatch.

As these orders carry a very real time limit, I have decided that we will complete the journey by land, as there is no time to wait for repairs to the ship, though the journey, through desert and mountain, is not known to be an easy one. I've hired a Mr. Tharkay to guide us, though I am not entirely certain of his trustworthiness. I pray he does not take my money and abandon us halfway through the desert.

Looks like I am now the owner of a donut shop thanks to Tony Stark having more money than he knows what to do with clearly. I wasn't sure it was legal for me to won a business when I'm not 18 but apparently it is. Which doesn't make any sense. I can't vote or buy a car on my own but I can be given a business.

I never realized how many quotes, songs, and things are taken completely out of context for weddings until I started looking up things for my own wedding. Today I saw a wine glass with an Oscar Wilde quote. "Love is a sacrament that should be taken kneeling".

I get that they probably were talking about getting on one knee and proposing.

But I'm 110% positive that was not what Oscar was referring to.

I couldn't be more happy to finally see the arrival of my new ship. Balls, but it took forever to get it retrofitted, paid for, and over here. And I was really quite annoyed I was too busy to skipper it here myself.

But, it's all worth it now. Because this beauty's going to be a fantastic new party destination for you all, I'm sure! We're definitely going to have to have some kind of gigantic party to break her in, don't you all think?

I've been taking more of a liking for folk music of late, specifically Nordic folk music. I've taken a liking to a group called Heilung. Specifically a song called Norupo. It's rather calming to listen to, and reminds me a bit of my home in my Dreams.

Some days I think I could have been anything. An athlete, a guy who flips burgers, or a veterinary but no I had to go and pick the one vocation that means I spend pretty much my entire life in a hospital. That means my social life is pretty much dead in the water but that's what I get, I knew what I was signing up for, and yet I'm still complaining.

Go figure.

I mean I blame the fact I haven't slept in like... 16 hours for this rambling post of ramble.

The day of fools, or, the day I can post the most outlandish tales from my dreams and no one would believe me.

So instead, how about three truths and a lie, and you can guess which one is the lie.

There's an alternate universe where we're all dinosaurs. One of my best friends is a dragon. Logan is good with babies. I've got a dual citizenship with the UK.

No. No. No! I can’t - I hope that - Just when I think I can’t sink any lower in the Dreams, I do. It seems that my return to Hogwarts as an instructor was an even worse idea than I thought it would be here. Not only do I change the course from Defense Against the Dark Arts to the Dark Arts period, I force the students to use spells to torture one another. When I’m not busy using curses on them and torturing them myself of course. What I wouldn’t give for some of that Dreamless Sleep Potion here that we have there.

Some time ago, I was gifted by my dreams a beautiful porcelain vase which I had purchased in China for my father, who collected such things. As he has the same inclinations here, I thought that I would send it to him as a surprise gift. It's not every day when one receives such an exquisitely made piece of Chinese porcelain.

Today I received his thank you note in the mail. I suppose a phone call, or even a proper letter, was too much to hope for. It seems as though he was rather pleased with it, which I am glad for. My mother let me know that he has it displayed among the rest of his collection; I hope that I will be able to see for myself sometime soon.

I didn't think it would take me so long to get used to being back in my apartment after a week staying with somebody else because we were tied together by whatever that force was. And the bologna sandwich and ramen I ate? Best thing I've tasted in days because they are absolutely real foods.

These are interesting times we live in with regards to science. According to satellite data, the magnetic north pole is moving far faster than was predicted. It's hard to say whether we are going to experience the magnetic north and south poles flipping, or if there's some fluctuation in the Earth's liquid core pushing the magnetic north pole like this. But this is extremely intriguing to read the data about. It would also be intriguing to see if the magnetic south pole has shifted at all, which that article does not mention.

I've had strong suspicions for a while now, in my Dreams, that the Chinese prince Yongxing had been making attempts on my life in an effort to wrest Temeraire from my side. I was near certain once a we were warned of an impending attack and a virtual army attacked my men and I in the dead of night, and we were forced to defend our position until morning, but our diplomat, Arthur Hammond, insisted we say nothing until we had solid proof. I'm afraid the proof came last night.

He hired an assassin, who hid among the actors of a Chinese performance that we were all invited to watch. One of them, I'm sorry to say, managed to catch me under the collar bone with a knife. In the scrimmage that followed, the stage came down and Prince Yongxing was killed.

I'm not entirely sure how I'm to explain this particular wound to my superiors. If this keeps up, I'll soon run out of excuses.

Pretty sure my dreams have come to an end. At least it feels that way right now.... But on that note, is there any sort of procedure or something in case disarmed bombs that really would have been useful a few weeks ago show up for safety measures or whatever?
