Had a pretty amazing time at the beach last weekend. If you haven't been lately, I suggest you go.

So I was coming out of the movie theater this past weekend when I overhear someone wondering aloud, "Do they actually animate stuff to go with stuff the voice actors do when they mess up? Or do they write scripted gags?"

Just to clarify, the answer is YES!

Would anyone like to help me move? I have a place, I just need some help.

I need to get my things out of my ex-boyfriends place. I want to do it when he won't be there, and that means very quickly and relatively quietly. If he comes home and sees me moving out, he won't be happy.

I have a restraining order against him, but I don't know if he'll listen to it.

And this is why Reptillia are the most fascinating class of Animalia on the planet. No doubt there are skeptics out there likely to view this video as one man's complete insanity - and you would be insane to try this with just any old crocodile - but I am sure there were skeptics too when men first attempted to tame the Canidae.

Is there a point to this, you ask? Why, yes. Yes there is.

Just because it's not covered in fluffy wrinkly fur like this little fellow does not mean these creatures deserve any less respect or affection. Around this time of year the zoo begins to receive "donations" of reptiles people can no longer care for. Whether they've underestimated their own abilities to provide safe and healthy environments for dart frogs, iguanas, and chameleons or worse yet, find they are no longer interested in keeping a pet who has grown from this adorable little hatchling into an eighteen inch terror that snaps and bites.

A turtle is NOT a good pet for a child!

I get more of these little fellows on my doorstep every day. And while charming to watch when only centimeters long sucking up blood worms like spaghetti or stumbling over floating docks to hunt crickets three times their size, they do grow. Significantly. Like puppies grow into dogs, or kittens into cats and people should be

So please. Respect the reptiles. And be more aware of the commitments you make when selecting a pet. Not that I recommend crocodiles as pets but you have to admit the guy's got a friend for life there.


Also, Julian, if there's more wine in the house you should tell me where it's at. Cause I just killed the bottle.

Why do I feel as if I was just struck by 1.21 gigawatts of electricity? Oh, that's right. Because I dreamed it.

I can only assume that I have now experienced this phenomenon that everyone keeps talking about.

Well this week has been intense. And I still have a full day of classes tomorrow.

Still then it's the weekend, I'm leading a hike on Saturday. If anybody is free you should come along, we still have a few places left.

I spilled a package of Goldfish all over my floor.

I meet with a gentlemen on Thursday about breeding his privately owned Amur Tiger. I'm a lizard girl, primarily, but given the zoo's tiny staff I suddenly find myself the most qualified person on payroll to handle breeding requests across all species. Suppose that three year stint in Australasia did me some good after all (Take that student loans!).

Typically I'm against exotic creatures as household pets but in cases like this it's such a blessing to have even one more specimen healthy enough to contribute to the population. And if the data I've received is any indication, she should have no trouble catching provided she and the stud like one another enough.

Yes. Even in the animal kingdom girls are picky.

In any case I am exceptionally excited. Too excited to sleep in fact so I'm off for a jog. (Julian, if you're reading this never fear, I've brought the pepper spray with me).

Um hello? Carol? Uh.. I don't know if you can hear this but HELP. I am stuck and I can't get down! I don't even know what happened. I'm stuck up on the wall. Well more like the ceiling, but I'm kind of on the wall and on the ceiling.

I really need you to come home and get me down.

Last night was fun, but I think I'm giving up drinking for Lent. The dreams ... they're terrible, but I have a purpose in them, and I don't really have one when I'm awake. Maybe I can make them merge together. If I'm meant to protect people, I'm going to really put forth an effort to do so.

I've already signed up for a bunch of training classes and stepped up my jogging. Instead of being silly and stupid and ... me, I'll practise with my bow, I'll go kickbox.

I miss home so much I could die.

It seems that all within days of each other, everything's been looking up for me... Or maybe it's been weeks. I've hardly been able to tell.

Right now everything's seeming to run into one another and I don't mind one bit. Between the vocal lesson, getting that role... And more recently, a dear.... friend... from my childhood has shown up and it's just...

I'm wondering how long my good luck will run or if it plans on running out anytime soon!
