This weekend I'm having a soft open of my bakery Izzy's.

Everything will be pumpkin theme from lattes to the muffins till Sunday night.

The bakery/cafe is coming along nicely.

I need to start hiring help soon. Anyone want a job in serving food department, hit me up.

So I had another fun dream about the Shadowhunter Academy last night. A couple of us were tasked with finding a rogue vampire so of course a couple of the others started asking me about being a vampire, but I didn't remember any of that since my memories still hadn't come back about that time. They didn't believe me at first. Honestly, some of those Shadowhunters are dicks. Anyway, the vampire was in Brooklyn, so we were dispatched and when we found her, she begged me to let her go cause she recognized me of course. I hesitated and almost got both me and Jon killed, but Isabelle showed up but someone showed up and killed the vampire and since Jon had gotten knocked out, he thought I'd done it when he came to. Once we were back at the Academy I basically got in an argument about Downworlders and the way Shadowhunters treat them, with some of the kids.

In the end, Catarina told me a story, where the moral was basically about me choosing my own path and I started to remember more about Clary cause she came to see me and talked to me about some stuff and so yeah, it's fun going to school with a bunch of elitist assholes. I just hope that if I make it through all this training and become a Shadowhunter, maybe I can help change things.

In more fun news, some Gen 5 Pokemon were released in PokemonGo today and I've already caught four of them plus I caught a shiny version of an older Pokemon that I've been searching for forever! Yes, I know, all of that is incredibly nerdy, but it's what I like to do.

Okay, why do people have to try and make everything with either sweet potatoes or cauliflower these days? I mean, I like cauliflower, but I saw a recipe for making baked mac & cheese with cauliflower. How does that even work? And just now I saw a recipe for sweet potato brownies. No offense to anyone who likes sweet potatoes, but that sounds kind of gross. I'd much rather have triple chocolate brownies.

This is potentially an unpopular musical opinion, but I'm sitting here watching Grease 2 on tv, and I always thought it was kind of underrated. I don't know, Cool Rider is kind of catchy, and the leads were both really hot... I can understand it not being as iconic as the original, but I never thought it deserved to be as universally hated as it seems to be.

Just when I thought things couldn't get weirder I woke up to find this thing just cozied up on my couch.

Also, it has a name, Doris apparently.

It's always weird when customers want our empty bottles...even if they are Pride-related. You know, rainbow colored. Still, it's not exactly safe to hand out glass bottles to customers. Even in the VIP where they can purchase bottles to have in the area, we still can't let you have the bottle. And now, I'm the asshole bartender/co-owner...of course, they only know of the former until they insult me.

Anyway, guess we need to put signs up behind the bar that say we can't hand out bottles.

I really loathe high school football. Any football, actually. But especially high school games. Like, why would I dream about going to a game, and using that as a forum to make up with my best friend, who happens to be the new star of the team? In these dreams and in my actual life, I am probably the last guy who would ever attend a high school football game. That's just absolutely not my thing.

Dreaming of being little kids with Alec again, was kinda of a nice stroll down memory lane. Minus the training we were doing in the dreams.


Anyways, big day for me.


I've decided I'm going to open a cafe, mainly focus on desserts. So my Sous-Chef Max and I are going to go look at a few places to see if I want to lease it.

So, hi, I guess? I'm Forsythe. I know. It's a terrible name. But it's mine, so. I mean, what can you do? I've thought about changing it, but it's such a hassle and I don't even know what I'd call myself. I've been Forsythe my whole like. The Third, by the way. My grandparents thought it was a great idea to call their son The Second, and he made me the Third. It would mean more if, you know, we got along. But whatev. It is what it is.

Sorry. I'm rambling. I tend to do that. I get on a subject and it's like I don't know how to shut up. I know when. I mean I'm aware I should have stopped typing about a dozen sentences ago, and yet here we are. And I'm still typing. I'm a writer, that's what I do. But I'll stop now. because it's the thing to do. Right. This is me, stopping. Hi.

I have to say, having both Jace and Izzy back at the Institute is nice. I've been living here by myself for almost six months now and it was getting a little much, being in this giant place alone. Not to mention I kept feeling like I didn't really belong since I'm not a Shadowhunter.

I don't know if it's because they're both around now or what, but I had a few new dreams. In a way my dreams feel complete now, but also open ended. Does that make sense? It's like one chapter ended and another is about to begin or something.

It's so good to be with my family again.

So soon I get the awkward task of telling my ex girlfriend that I'm not a vampire anymore. It shouldn't be awkward, but I mean, how many people become vampires then become human again? Ya know?

So.. Has anyone ever experience dream walking or something? Or rather I guess, sleep walking?

Are all of my Dreams going to have something to do with that redhead girl? Because if so I really wish someone would just let me know now. The night after our first run at Pandemonium my tutor Hodge sends me to track her down again because he wants to ask her some questions about her and how she could see us. He actually thinks she might be dangerous and tells me to bring her back to the Institute. I track her down at some coffeeshop named Java Jones where she’s listening to some really shitty poetry with Simon and I get her attention and then walk out hoping she’ll follow me and anyone care to guess what happened?

If you guessed she followed me you’re right - and threatened to call the cops and report me for following her because that’s going to go over so well. Unless the cop that answers has the Sight they won’t see me and just think she’s crazy and seeing people who aren’t really there. I checked to see if she had a permanent rune like Shadowhunter children normally do on their dominant hand and she doesn’t, so I still have no clue what she is or how she could see us.

Before I can get her to leave with me she gets a phone call from her mom that apparently freaks her out. I offer to help if she needs but she just slaps me and takes off.

The only problem with going to workout on my days off where I teach is that I run into students who think that since I'm there I must be willing to work with them. Because I couldn't possibly be there to work out and train myself obviously. Anybody on here know of a gym that I can join? Competitions are coming up and I need to get some sessions in that aren't full of distractions.

Distraction number one being you and I'm not cutting our sessions out. I need the incentive that comes after.

So who else is excited about Game of Thrones tomorrow? I'm excited, but also dreading it cause I don't want anyone I like to die, but I feel like it's inevitable that someone, or more than one someone, I like is gonna die. I don't even know what to expect. Whatever happens, it's bound to be crazy.

Seriously landlord? Seriously? I've been doing maintenance on my bike in the parking lot since I moved in here. Putting a tarp down and everything else I can think of to keep from staining the asphalt. You're coming to me today and telling me that if I keep doing this I'll be in breach of my lease and evicted. Where the hell was this warning months ago? When you actually helped me out while I was doing it?

Anybody know a place that would rent me stall space for a few hours when I need to do maintenance that won't charge me my entire pay check?

A high school drama club put on ALIEN!! I repeat, a high school drama club did ALIEN!! This is amazing! I would have loved to have seen this. ALIEN is one of my favorite movies so this would have been awesome!

Also, Rock Solid Panda, yes, we've decided to stick with that name for good, will be playing this weekend at [name of club]. So, come check us out, if you have nothing else to do.

I'm so sorry about last night.

So has anyone ever had an intervention where their friends come over basically to remind you that you're still part of the group? I didn't even know that was a thing until my friends did it to me the other day cause I'd sort of been not really avoiding them since my breakup.

Ugh.

I think I have officially had my first set of "Dreams". It was basically like my regular life except apparently being one of the five founding members of the Ipswich colony is way more important. Our five families have something called "The Power" and they've been keeping it a secret for about 300 years, but passing it and this Book of Damnation down the line of the families. One family disappeared, but the other 4 have always been tight and the ones I know are the same friends I have back home. But apparently we're all warlocks.

I don't feel any different, but I'm kind of nervous about what this means in the future if there's more of these Dreams.

I was feeling tired this afternoon, so took off from work early and came home to rest.

I passed out on the couch, slept for what felt like hours, dreamt again. I'm such a horrible person in my dreams. I just...I hope I'm not like that.

Now I am channel surfing, can't find anything to watch.

I don't even know why I'm posting this, I should just delete it.

I bought the Entertainment Weekly with Black Panther's mask on the cover... the Oscar edition one! I'm super excited to get all caught up on the films for the Oscars and cuddle up to watch the show. Do the Oscars get anyone else excited? I love the glitz and glam, and celebrating people who make wonderful films!

Just finished watching Back to the Future III, which is part of one of my all time favorite series. Anyway, something I've always wondered, The Doc didn't make it out of 1885, but he built the new time machine. There's no way he could have built that whole thing in 1885 especially since he had to go to the future for the flight circuits on the Delorean. So how exactly did he build the time train?

Also, it's still strange that we're now ahead of the Back to the Future timeline. Growing up, when I'd watch the second one, 2015 always seemed so far away and now we're past it.

I read earlier that today is National Redhead Day so in honor of that, I sent my best friend this meme. I thought it was fitting for Clary.

Also, I think my shiny luck in Pokemon Go is changing. I've caught three in the last three days.

So frustrating! I haven't encountered any shiny Pokemon during this Pokemon Go event. Almost everyone else I know who plays has encountered numerous shinies and I haven't found one. Yes, I know this is a very minor problem, especially considering the technology problems that have started hitting the OC, but it's still frustrating to me.

Well my dreams are back again with a vengeance and still picking up right where the last one left off - me on the floor with Gert's dinosaur on top of me. But once they call her off and I get up we find some book called the Abstract which seems to be in some kind of weirdo language but we're going to take it with us anyway because Gert and Alex are both genius' so they're bound to be able to figure out what it means eventually. And we're going to Karolina's house next - officially my dreams are taking me on the world's stupidest scavenger hunt.

After working on the club, Pandemonium, the grand opening will on Halloween Night!

Drinks, music, a dance floor and some live entertainment throughout the night!

Costume not required but where’s the fun in that?

Club will be 18+ but no drinks for minors, those are the rules.

Since the bakery is a Pokemon Go Gym, we had a ton of visitors today. Catching Chikoritas. And MewTwo? I haven't caught one of those yet.

Did anyone catch any shiny Chikoritas?

In all this weird chaos, I do have some exciting news.

I booked a gig at small bar for Saturday. I'm just playing a few songs as an opener for another band but it's a start. Just me, my guitar and a piano.

Restrictions: 18+, as it's a bar, and those underage get a handstamp to show they're underage.

Has anyone ever witnessed someone taking a picture of a picture on someone else's phone? I saw someone do it today. They had taken a selfie and instead of the other girl asking the one who had the phone to send it to her, she took a picture of the picture on the phone. I wanted to tell them that the other person could have just texted them the picture, but I think I was too dumbfounded by it.

So...

What should I do if I wake up to fine an enormous pink lion on my bed? Not really sure that my dad's place can accommodate such a large cat but Lion does what he wants. He's a cat...a BIG, pink cat...

And he's definitely gonna hurt my chances of finding an apartment of my own. I need options.

This past weekend is one of my favorite times of the year. Comic-Con. I might not have been able to go, but I love watching the trailers and the panels and the cos-plays. There's so many new movies and shows that I can't wait for after this weekend. Maybe next year I'll be able to actually get tickets and I'll be able to see everything in person.

According to my bestie it's International Kissing Day today so if you pop on down to Baxter's Bakery you can get yourself a themed sugar cookie! What better way to sweeten a kiss? :D

So, my dad's graduation gift to me was a month of traveling throughout the country where music had a big influence. Played a few small gigs...even attended some karaoke nights. Now, I'm back home and I'm glad to be in my own space, again. Still, the traveling life was kind of fun.

I’m so glad that Nico gave me an open invitation to come over to eat with him and his boyfriend while classes are out. Campus is a ghost town, and I’m speaking from the experience of going with mom to see actual ghost towns… It’s nice just getting to talk to people over meals when there’s so few of us staying in the dorms right now.

But we’ve also been playing games when I come over most days. The other day we were playing a card game I’ve never heard of before, where you use cards to fill in the blanks for other cards? He bought a new pack for the cards they already had and told me to watch carefully before tossing it to his boyfriend.

Glitter. Everywhere. The entire foil package was full of glitter, the cards were coated with glitter. I think the bottom of my shoes still have a light dusting of glitter. I just wish we had a camera out, because the look on his face was hilarious. Completely makes up for Mario Cart.

Where is this year going? Like seriously, how it is almost the end of June already?

I however have the whole weekend off and am heading to San Fran Pride celebrations with my boyfriend, my brother, my brother-in-law and my cousin. We're going to have the best time!

Anybody else heading that way or doing anything fun this weekend?

My friend Eric is evil!! I guess today was National Cheese Lovers Day or something and he knows how much I miss food and how much I loved cheese, so he goes and posts a bunch of stuff about cheese on twitter today just to torture me. If he does this on the next National Whatever Food Day, I might have to consider finding a new friend.

After seeing the new poster for How to Train Your Dragon 3, I'm even more excited for the trailer. Just from the poster it looks like it's gonna be good. I mean, how could it not? They've all been good so far.

I got sucked into a Netflix hole today, UGGGGGGH.

I started watching this documentary called "Evil Genius" - it's about this bank robbery in 2003 where this pizza delivery guy went to deliver a pizza and some guys jumped him and attached a collar bomb to his neck and sent him on this weird scavenger hunt to free himself, which included robbing a bank. Let's just say it didn't end well for him and it's all about the investigation.

It's super intriguing if you like true crime stuff and only 4 parts, so a quick binge. All I have to say is people are crazy.

I always love when somebody starts trying to dictate to me how I should run my class. It was exactly what I’d been missing since I started there - another instructor, who’s never even been in one of my classes and doesn’t even teach the same style that I do, coming to tell me exactly what I’m doing wrong. Look. If the owner doesn’t have a problem with how I teach and my students aren’t dropping, then I can’t be messing up too badly. So how about you go bother someone who actually gives a shit what your unqualified opinion is.

Happy birthday to the bestest best friend I could ever hope for! Izzy is an amazingly kind, strong, kick ass woman and I can't imagine a day without her! Happy birthday Iz!

Could someone please explain to me exactly what the big deal about May 4th is? I just had a potential client look at me completely horrified because I had to ask them what the event they wanted to put on next Friday was for.

Okay so - I found a new podcast that I really really enjoy. They talk about true crime and ghosts and... I’m sort of forcing Will to listen to it with me when I’m at home since I play it through the speakers, but it’s a good one! Even if it does leave me wondering what would everyone’s last meal be if you knew you were going to die and could order anything you wanted?

That was weird. Then again, no weirder than anything else I've dreamt. Anyway, it was like a dream in my dreams. A vision really. When we went from the Seelie Realm to Edom, something showed me a vision. It was like my perfect life. I was a famous rock-star, living in a penthouse of a nice hotel, in New York. Only thing that was off was that I was with Clary. I was with Clary, but when we kissed I called her Isabelle and that broke the spell or whatever it was and I woke up in Edom. And let me tell you; Edom is not a nice place for a vacation.

That was probably the shortest dream I've had since I started dreaming.

So having Alec and Magnus back in town has been really awesome cause now Isabelle and I aren't the only ones at the Institute. I have no regrets about moving in, but when you're alone in that place, it can be pretty damn creepy. So having more people here is nice.

So we’re on our way to the Emerald City when I realize that Jack’s joints weren’t made for walking. In Tip’s defense - there was no way of knowing Mombi would bring him to life when he made him. He was just supposed to stand in the road to scare her - not be brought to life and move around on his own power. Something’s going to have to be done or he’ll wear out, but as we find out when he falls over while trying to sit down, that won’t work to spare him while I try to figure something out. He didn’t break or anything - thank God since I don’t think there were any pumpkins near where we are in the dream - but there is a sawhorse near the road that looks like it has a head on one end that I use the Powder of Life on to bring it to life so that Jack can ride on it.

I woke up with the Powder box in my hand and there’s powder in it but I haven’t checked to see if it is the Powder of Life. I don’t even know if it would work here since we’re not in Oz. I’m going to have to check it on something - anyone want to volunteer an item for an experiment?
