I'm going to take my dream self's advice, I think. I met the teenage vampire Annie was talking about recently and I told him that my friends help me remain clean because their goodness inspires me by forcing me to think about the disappointment they would feel if I succumbed to my thirst. I also declined an offer to live with the Old Ones, because I couldn't leave Annie, George and Nina. Annie especially.

Has anyone else started dating someone here only to find out you're together in the dreams? In mine Annie and I have recently realized our feelings for each other.

In real life news, I was talking to my mother earlier and she wants to come out here for Christmas. I don't know if that's such a good idea right now, considering I'm still working on the whole thirst thing and the no reflection thing. I don't want either of my parents to know I'm a vampire.

I've never been a person to make a big deal about Thanksgiving due to not being around my family for the holidays quite often once I left after high school. But, I do admit I love the food that is involved with this dinner. Typically our band would just stop off at some random restaurant that was open on our way to the next tour stop (if we were touring then) and hope they had turkey or something. I will admit that Chinese food on Thanksgiving is still one of my favorite things to do because of that. But I think I may make a quick trip back home to see my family and then perhaps go out again for Christmas.

But, I've been mostly focused on exams and trying to figure out the perfect Christmas gifts. I've also been addicted to BuzzFeed, as per usual, and today they posted this LIST of science gifts and I really want some of the stuff on there. I guess I should look on Etsy and maybe ThinkGeek - my family might appreciate some nerdy gifts for Christmas.

This is my first real holiday where I'm not going back to see my parents. It's odd, but I think I'm going to like spending it with friends too. Well friends and my boyfriend anyway. I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving. I've had so many, and yet in my dreams I'm British and it's so confusing.

Sometimes I talk in an accent that I've never had before. Stupid dreams.

Speaking of dreams, there was a tiny perverted vampire in mine. Who turns kids anyway?

How many of us here dream of being vampires? I feel as if I should start some sort of support group. Feel free to answer me privately if you like, I don't want to make anyone here uncomfortable.

Practicing medicine as I have done all of these years is always illuminating. Especially in Orange County. The series of events that happens here is always unique, but despite that, it reminds me of previous years, and previous events. War, and sickness, and strange happenings come and go through the world, and never stop coming and going. But so too does Peace, and health, and good days.

We must hold to the latter and use their memories to move through the former. And learn, always learn. For while we live, there will always be something to learn.

Fell asleep earlier this afternoon and had another Dream while I napped. I am apparently a pinball wizard - I made my own about rainbows and Liz the lizard helped me. I also sent these kids off on the magic bus on a field trip by themselves while I stayed behind with this kid that disapproves of my field trips.

The kids ended up inside the pinball game and helped me try to make the rainbow complete. They were learning about light and color. Looked fairly dangerous, but also a lot of fun once they finally figured out how it could work. The pinball worked with white light going through a prism and then you had to get the color to bounce off mirrors/similar color items and go into the correct colored eye.

I really should start grading the papers of the actual kids I'm TAing. My Liz is having fun just staring at me while I do. I think she enjoys being here. She's kind of adorable. I also think my roomie, Carlos, is really enjoying her presence.

Well this week has been a shite week for Annie and I as far as dreams go. Should have known something was going to happen.

In my dream, I wanted to move on. To stop being a ghost and just go through the door. Because being a ghost is the worst thing. I couldn't touch anything, I couldn't feel anything. I'd never kiss anyone, or have a family and it was awful. But then I changed my mind though, because I couldn't leave them.

And then some creepy old man shoved me through my door and forced me into.. I don't know. Hell, maybe.

That was the worst dream I've ever had in my life.

Are the holidays over yet? I'm already tired of it all.

I kind of want to throw a Halloween masquerade for my birthday. You know, a completely over the top monster-movie-monster's ball. Is that too cliche? I'd just have to find a ballroom somewhere...

Nothing like moving boxes all day, only to wake up in the middle of the night with a shit load of dreams that play through my head and end in a fucking cliffhanger. Yeah, not cool. Shit's about to get real.

Did anyone else know that a werewolf bite can kill a vampire? Damn venom anyway. I don't even think I should mention my in-laws, who just showed up in those dreams.

Now I can't sleep.

I am either the coolest teacher on the face of the planet (and possibly a witch/wizard/whatever) or these kids have the worst parents on the face of the planet. Who keeps letting them come to my class and going on these "field trips?" I wonder if they tell their parents what they did at school that day and what lies were told to get permission slips signed.

I finally had another dream and this time we went to a dinosaur dig. I apparently have made lots of connections as a teacher and one of the paleontologists shows us an egg she found. Well, of course my students had to go investigating and my magical bus took us back into time to the Cretaceous period and there were a lot of dinosaur interactions. Jurassic Park, eat your heart out.

How do I get away with this stuff?

Oh and I woke up and I have a new friend with me. There was a lizard named Liz (really creative) in my dreams and when I woke up there was a chameleon in a cage by my bed. Had a cute little bow and a card that said Liz on it. I'm a little freaked out.

Some madman installed an espresso machine in the lounge.

It's marvelous, I may never sleep again.

I want to take Annie out, but I haven't gone on an actual date in years. Can anyone recommend someplace fun out here? It's kind of sad that I've been out here almost a year and still don't really know where things are. Guess I'm still a bit of a hermit.

There's nothing quite like dreaming that a friend of yours has been manipulated, died and instead of crossing over, tries to force you to go through your door.

Whatever is actually on the other side (and not being a ghost like me) is completely terrifying. I don't ever want to die. That was awful. He was trying to drag me through the door. These dreams just keep getting worse.

I need a drink.

Did anyone else see Bill Nye the Science Guy on Dancing with the Stars tonight? That was almost painful to watch. Jack Osbourne was better than I thought.

And no, I didn't choose to watch the show. Annie was watching it, so I watched it with her.

My basement recording studio is almost finished, which is exciting, because I'll get to start laying down tracks. Doing this on my own has taken much longer than my other two records took.

I had the dream again last night So I've got my first performance here in Orange County and it's going to be a weekly thing. Audrey's letting me play Tuesday nights at Baxter Bakery. Starting this week. It means I lose a night off later in the week but it's worth it

Now for something completely different! To get our minds off of what's going on I know a few people should be interested in this.

Who wants to go to the Orange County Fest of Ales and join my team for the "Beer Run 5K" next weekend?

Nobody in this bloody country can make tea. Nobody even makes good tea bags. Do I have to import fucking Tetley just because America is doing everything wrong?

I've also had three security contracts cancel on me in the past three days because they got a look at my face. They think I'm going to rob them if I know their security? Idiots.

So a couple of the record companies I've met with lately have suggested dying my hair. Apparently I'm a bit too 'boyband' at the moment.

Any opinions on here? Yeah I know throwing myself to the wolves here.

I know there was a girl on here a few days ago thinking along similar lines - did you decide to give it a go?

Okay, I have seen mentions of dreams around here and I'm wondering if the ones I had recently are the same ones everyone was talking about. They were the strangest/most realistic dreams ever.

So, they have to be set in the future or something because I look older and I'm a certified teacher. I have a small classroom of young kids and I wear the craziest outfits you have ever seen. Now, that's all normal and such, but then suddenly it takes a turn when I decide it's time for a field trip. The school bus we ride transforms and we go crazy places. The first dream was a trip into outer space, the second dream was us inside a STUDENT when the bus shrunk and he got swallowed for lunch, and the last dream was inside ANOTHER student while he is fighting a cold.

These kids seem to think it's pretty darn normal and I have to say I'm pretty badass if I'm able to do something like this. The kids manage to learn some really awesome things due to these field trips, but holy crap - completely insane.

Just finished watching the best film ever made. If you do not think Clue is the best comedy known to man then you are wrong. Tim Curry makes that film. The whole cast is brilliant, but Tim Curry is the best. I would kill to see bloopers from that film.

As much as I love Ireland, it's good to back here. It was great seeing all the family, though, and I think I'm still getting over the hangover from my cousin's wedding.

Did I miss anything while I was away?

The more I look into it, the amount of bleed-over from these dreams into everyone's lives is fascinating. Though I wish, a little, that it would start happening to me. My work's reached a stand-still. I look at what my dream self was able to accomplish with little in the way of scientific advancement, then think about what I could do with everything we have today.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that I come across the journal he's kept, or that some great epiphany will come to me when I sleep. As for now, it's back to studying languages until I find my steam again.

I got stuck as a bat for about twenty minutes earlier today. I flew into the mirror in the foyer because I didn't have a reflection. Suffice to say, it hurt.

Since my birthday is next Monday, I want to do something this weekend. Does anyone know of any clubs that I could take over for the night? Say, Saturday? I want to actually remember my birthday this year. Most of last year is a haze.

That is the coolest thing I have seen in a while. I read that she's 60-something and not actually a grandmother. She was also in one of the first girl groups in her area, which is awesome! I am so impressed that she's kept those skills for a long time and I really hope that I get to be like that when I'm older. Now I just want to sit around playing on my drums and forget the rest of the world.

Bear Grylls' wife probably deserves some sort of reward for copulating with a man who is basically known for drinking his own urine. I don't think I could make out with someone, knowing that he thought urine was a viable beverage option.

Why is finding decent men so damn difficult? I don't know where to look anymore.

Dreaming that I didn't move on as a ghost and go to.. heaven or wherever it was had my head spinning. I mean a lot of my dream the other night was really horrific.

But then today, I went to the store and no one could see me. I got food from the grocery store and when I got in line the person couldn't see me. I mean I guess it was a giant hoax, but he looked really freaked out when a cart wheeled itself up to his line and had no one to go with it.

I don't know what to do. I don't want to be a ghost. I don't want to be dead.

I've never been so happy to have a dream. In the last one, I was staked and while he missed my heart, I was still in bad shape and could have died. An old friend sacrificed herself to save me. For awhile there, Herrick still thought he was going to win. Only problem was he didn't expect to get torn to pieces by a werewolf.

After all that, I think I need a drink.

Who else dreams of being a vampire? Or is one? I am simply curious. I have not heard of the boy from my dreams, Oskar, arriving, nor my sire, but I could be mistaken.

Trying to sleep but every time I doze off I get new dreams.

I'm going to get my start in the fashion world. I'm so excited. I have so many ideas, it's ridiculous.

HELLO! My name is Valerie Frizzle and this is my first time on a message board thing like this before. So, I'm not entirely sure what I should be writing about, but I might as well give a small introduction about myself.

I am going to Fullerton to get my teaching degree and I want to teach elementary age students. I want to be a general teacher, but I really love science. I play the drums in my spare time and here's a random fact about myself: When I was little my parents told me that my hair was orange because I ate so many carrots (which I loved). So, I tried to go a month without eating a carrot to change my hair color. It obviously didn't work, but my parents had a good laugh about it.

So it's been a while since I've played live for an audience with one thing and another in my life. I'm changing that this weekend though. I'm playing at the coffee house on [street name] Saturday 12-2.

And then my desk decided it was going to comment on my piles of scratched out notes and scripts and changes. Apparently I need to "sex it up" because that's "usually your area" and "really, man, the pens have told me things about what you do under the tables at work". Apparently it? he? she? is jealous cause there's been some at work action the last week or so.

I desperately need a drink.

Damage control is the most painful thing ever.

Largely because the people behind our record label are getting a little... vocal in their displeasure about certain things. This might be a sign that things need to change.

To be honest, this whole talking animal thing would be a lot stranger had I not already had a conversation with a bat two weeks ago. I've heard that some objects that are supposed to be inanimate are talking too. So help me god if my guitar starts talking again.

Not that I believe these dreams are more than power of suggestion gone horribly wrong, but I really should have figured.

For the record, I was not born in 1840. I am not a Southern Boy who says Yes, Ma'am, and I don't have cravings for blood. It might have felt real, but it's not. Now fighting in the Civil War was an interesting twist. I suppose I should thank my head for a short period of sanity.

My flatmate, Annie and I are talking about going camping. Not being from the area though, I haven't got a fucking clue where the good campgrounds are. Anyone have any recommendations? She said not a lot of bugs. Don't know if that's something that can be controlled or not.

Sunshine! And no instaburn! I'm pushing up the party time to 3pm, if anybody wants to help set up. I am going to dip myself in sunscreen and spend the day outside.

Anyone ever dream that they are something that's not human? Like a mythological creature? I had a really awesome dream and my boyfriend and my brother, Klaus, were involved, but it got really weird when I turned out not to be exactly human.... At least I know I could rock a flapper dress if I wanted to.

Next week my first album on US soil will be released to the public! It will be available online as well as several local stores. I wanted to support small businesses. I hope people enjoy it, I don't know if it's the sort of thing the American Public will enjoy, but I enjoyed making it.

I'm going to have a beach party on Friday evening before I leave town. Anybody want to join me? Say, around sunset?
