It was suggested to me by Intern Chad that I try out this forum as a new format for my reporting. "Why don't you start a blog?" he said. "You could reach a lot more people that way."

So here I am, readers. Your own Cecil Baldwin, from the nightly news. Isn't technology wonderful? I can talk to all of you like this, and you can ask me questions that I can answer in a timely manner, instead of waiting til the next news broadcast.

I could even find some breaking stories this way, you never know.

Not entirely sure what this is when it's at home, but I suppose the worst that'll happen is they'll find a reason to deport me. Name's Gemma Masters. I know that some of you lucky folks have dreamed about having magic or superpowers and then gotten them in real life... did you know how to control them when you got them? I'm just curious, since... doesn't it take a while to learn how to handle something like that, normally?

Does anybody know anything about alchemy?

I'm curious, those of you who have had some form of physical change as a result of the dreams, how have you dealt with it? Yesterday I woke up to find that my eyes have changed, not only color, but my pupils have changed as well. My eyes now appear to be more feline in appearance. I plan to try colored contacts, but I'm sure they will only be a temporary fix.

We seem to be all unpacked and settled in. I set up a temporary sitter through that agency that one guy on here gave me, but I still wanted to talk to the other two girls who mentioned babysitting. I think it was Alice and Candy? Are you guys still interested? I'm also thinking about getting Lian a kitten. Does anyone know of an animal shelter in the area?

Randomly: I never heard that Remy might be a girl's name in some cultures. Saw this Egyptian fille on TV with that name and she was crazy. Worries me.

Alright, first things, first, I'm Roy Harper and I just moved to the area. I have an eight year old daughter, so I'm gonna need some information on elementary schools. Not only that, but I'm gonna have to start looking for a nanny or babysitter for when I'm working. If anyone could help me out with that, I'd be grateful. I never really needed a babysitter or nanny before cause my parents never minded watching Lian, but now we're not exactly close, geographically that is. So, I might need some help figuring that out. As for what I do, I'm a detective with the Huntington Beach Police. But don't think that, that means that I don't know how to have fun, because after I get settled, I'm gonna be asking around for places to go around here. Well, I guess that's all for now. Got lots of unpacking to do.

Has anyone had dreams that they could do things? Something that shouldn't be possible?

I am supposed to be taking a census of how many people with magic would be interested in setting up a normal meeting so we can discuss it and even work on it. What do you all say? Yes or no?

We're setting up a big fireworks thing out at the ranch. Making arrangements so the animals aren't too close. But it should be pretty good. Gets real dark out there.

After all was said and done, I needed a day or two to rest. Now that I'm feeling a little less like I'll sleep forever and eat everything in sight, I should say hello again. Seeing as the Dreams have deigned to age me up, yet again, and I look rather different.

This is going to make life a little annoying.

That moment you work out that your family members aren't the only ones in need of therapy. Hello, Valarnet, today's been AWESOME, why do you ask?

Is it common to start getting migraines when you're a. a guy, and b. 20? I've never had this happen before and I'm confused. Also, what do you do when you appear to have been replaced by your family? I was dealing with it before but now I've gotten another new "sibling" and it feels like shit on top of everything else cause I have issues not being the only child, I guess. Advice on either topic?

I miss them already. Beth and Alma and Elise. I know they're safer where they are, and I can 'skype' them, whatever that is, but it's not the same. Almost wish I could go with them, but I got a lot of kids I got to take care of here, too. The Ranch is too important.

Maybe next time I'll adopt a kid a little younger so I can hold on longer.

Do you think we all end up like our parents? I mean, even if we didn't really know 'em? Maybe we spend so much time trying not to be like 'em, we just end up....not seeing that we are them. I don't know. I've just been thinking about it lately.

And here I was, hoping that last dream I'd talked about would be the only one of note. I really hope I don't have any more. This was... strange. I was in someone else's body, only instead of the way it had been with the aliens I took over, my human host body didn't want me there. She yelled at me a lot. It got so bad my Comf -- my therapist said I should think about finding a new host. I have to say, I hope I didn't. It seems wrong to take over a body just to leave it when things get tough. Almost more wrong than taking the body in the first place.

I hope this isn't strange, it's just... we'd talked, and... I know what it's like to be extra, now. It's not a good feeling.

Is it just me or is relearning to do something almost harder than learning to do it in the first place? Since I got the okay to stop wearing the sling, I've been at the gym three times a week working on my upper body strength and it feels like my arm is useless, but I know I've just got to keep working on it. I mean, I haven't been able to do anything with my right arm for almost three months. I'm not expecting to be able to do handstands and flips and things right off the bat. It's only been two weeks that I've had use of my arm, so I know it'll take some time.

Question though, has anyone else just known how to fight because of their dreams? I was with Barbara the other day and someone tried stealing my bag and I pretty much took him down without even thinking about it. I've never hit anyone in my entire life and I wound up incapacitating this guy. Am I the only one or has this happened to anyone else?

Can I just say I love America? And I love Palm Springs. When I retire, I am retiring here. While I feel awful for leaving Arthur during Easter (ps Angel, I have internet in Palm Springs, enjoy your burgers), everything makes up for it. Everyone here has a Bentley and I'm jealous, and I played my first round of golf today ever, and I was awful, but it was bloody great fun. I've eaten a lot of food -- good food, tonight's dinner for ten cost a very pretty penny -- and had an awful lot to drink.

Oh. And in my down time? I relax by the pool.
