Well I guess it's nice to know that even in the Dreams, my dad had the same reaction to me getting a job as a journalist. "Oh God" and needing a drink. And that no matter where you are, there will always be that person who is meant to mentor you that wants absolutely nothing to do with it. In a world of people with abilities, it's nice to have that normal. Or something.

I have discovered what HYDRA planned for my brother and I, and as I assumed it is not that we will be saviours of the world, more likely we are to assist them in vying for removing freedom from world. It seems they are unable to stand up against the attacks of those looking to stop them, which is why we were so important in Dr Lists experiments.

And while I'm trying to piece together my newfound place as a villain in my dreams, I am informed that my accommodation on campus is only secured until the end of term, but my off campus apartment will not be fully repaired until at least September. Fire damage being what it is.

I dislike apartment hunting, I dislike it more when I am feeling rushed to do it.

I got Christine visitin' this Weekend god I wish I could see Lucy so we're gonna have a grand time of pillow forts an' jetskiiing.

Christ almighty what I wouldn't give for an actual good night's sleep.

Also, could've done without a trip down a very confusing memory lane. Think I'm going to start my weekend drinking early.

If I'm still sober by 10pm tonight I have gone and fucked it up.

These dreams they are... There are some things I would not wish to relive and yet here I am, dreaming.

My mother being one of those things.

I suppose it is a good thing I do not need to sleep often or there might be more dreams.

Cal State not only accepted my request to work for them in a researcher capacity but confirmed there's a chance they'll support me applying for my PhD depending on how my research goes. It definitely beats out the other offer I got from a high school for a teaching position which... isn't even what I'd asked or applied for, so God knows how they'd managed to get hold of my CV and cover letter.

Goodbye fucking awful temp work. I start a week on Monday.
