Last night, D managed to get himself kidnapped by fucking Peruvian terrorists. I went to save his skinny ass and somehow ended up caught up in whatever his grandfather got him into, which was, apparently, a trip to Lake Titticaca (hahaha Titicaca) to look for some golden city called El Dorado or something. We didn't find any gold, but we did find a whole bunch of golden, extinct fish.

How the fuck we didn't get murdered after that I'll never guess at. And I can't figure out what the hell D's family had to do with any of that.

I'm also not entirely sure how I'm going to explain away these handcuff wounds on my wrists when I go to work tomorrow.

In not dream related news, Chris has apparently been feeding this stray cat every day after school and today she decided to follow him home and won't fucking leave. I don't have the time or the patience to take care of this mangy fleabag but Chris nearly started crying when I told him he couldn't keep her so I guess we're stuck with her. For now at least.

Some time ago, I was gifted by my dreams a beautiful porcelain vase which I had purchased in China for my father, who collected such things. As he has the same inclinations here, I thought that I would send it to him as a surprise gift. It's not every day when one receives such an exquisitely made piece of Chinese porcelain.

Today I received his thank you note in the mail. I suppose a phone call, or even a proper letter, was too much to hope for. It seems as though he was rather pleased with it, which I am glad for. My mother let me know that he has it displayed among the rest of his collection; I hope that I will be able to see for myself sometime soon.

Initially I had not thought there was anything odd happening when my charity was getting more people coming to us for assistance. However, after talking with a few women that have come to us, I find out a few shelters have closed recently because of buildings being bought. I don't like the sound of shelters closing down, but I will not turn anyone away that comes to us. It just means more work for us.

Which brings up a topic we should discuss.
