I have advice for everyone here. Never let Eliot and I administer tests of any kind. I won't lie, we thought it was the best thing in the world; especially watching Q and his friends run around like chickens with their heads cut off, but I don't think anyone else would think it was fun.

I have to admit I do love how all out and involved people get over here when it comes to Halloween. It's a favourite of mine.

That said, does anybody know of any big Halloween parties going on this year? I'm not usually one for such things but I don't think I can resist this time.

Um, is it normal for people to just come up to you while you're trying to study for a midterm and be all "Ohmigod I love you, we should go out" just because of how you were describing something while going over a study guide? Because that's just weird and awkward and I don't even know this person and I don't think I'm ever going to study where people can come up to me at random again.

I know that this time of year pumpkin spice becomes the in thing, but there's got to be a limit. There is no way my bar is trendy enough to serve pumpkin spice alcohol.

I am going to miss Nico and Sans fighting with the RA over Halloween this year. It was great to watch them add more and more decorations to the hall just to annoy him. I mean, at least at the apartment, we're pretty much free to decorate however we want to, but there's just something satisfying about passive aggressive decorations against a Halloween Grinch.

...I say Halloween Grinch, but he wasn't much better about Christmas.

California just passed a bill recognizing a third gender. I can actually have all my legal paperwork, my ID, reflecting who I am. I have... absolutely no words. While the country is trying to roll back rights for trans people, I am so lucky the state is not only going to keep protecting us, but recognizing there are people that don’t fit neatly into either box.

Is it weird to be excited about trick or treating again? I haven’t gone since I was a little kid, and I am really looking forward to taking the twins out this year, then coming back home to watch movies while we hand out candy. I wasn’t much for parties in college, so while I did go sometimes with friends… I am honestly a homebody. Trick or treating and candy duty honestly are my idea of a great Halloween.

I am probably going to go overboard buying candy. My parents were always the type to turn their lights off early, because of “kids being bussed in to the neighborhood” ...I can afford to give some poorer kids some extra fun size kit-kats.
