It's 3am, I've a cup of hot cocoa and my fiance is asleep with her head in my lap.

I just thought I'd share that because she'll be mortified when she wakes up.

This truly is the month of Dreams. Last night the leader of the resistance against the Strigoi Councilwoman Feraldo came to visit Eph and myself to talk about Eph's failing biological weapon. We both told her we were onto something more, something better. I told her about the microwaves. She was less than pleased with our progress and ripped us a new one for not being quick enough. I thought she was fabulous.

Meanwhile, I invented a device that projects microwaves. We tested it on a Strigoi in an experiment Eph devised. We were on one side of a chain link fence with a bowl of blood, the Strigoi on the other. The idea was to try and get it to attempt to get through the fence and stop it with the device. It worked for a while. The device made its IQ plummet, dazing it and leaving it stunned for a while, but then it seemed to recover and actually opened the fucking locked gate of the fence. It almost came at us, but Eph killed it. My conclusion? The Strigoi somehow found a way around the interference. Back to square one.

Seems like I'm doing more science than hunting as of late.

I guess it's a good thing I'm not living under the delusion that I'm well-liked in my dreams. I get some of the longest stares, like I'm about ten seconds away from some psychological break. Not to mention the fact that I'm more than well aware of how little the people in my dreams want to be around me. Sorry, Em, for making dream!you uncomfortable. I know you didn't want to be my lab partner

Apparently there are enough idiots in the school to spend time and money filling my locker with shaving cream so all of my school books ended up covered in the stuff. That's been fun.

But at least I can rely on the fact that they are probably going nowhere in life.
