I don't say this often, so here it is: Today I'm thankful for my great friends and mentors. The last year has been really tough but they stuck by me and I want them to know how much I appreciate them all. Also, sorry for being such a pain in the ass.

So I let my students go early today. What's life without whimsy? Besides, on a day for family, I figure they would all rather be elsewhere. I just figured I'd find a bar with a game on after stopping by the faculty lounge to do our ritual Thanksgiving get together. Anyone know where there are some good games showing?

Thanksgiving is a strange holiday for me because I wasn't born in this country yet I consider it my own now. I worked hard to become a citizen. I feel as if Thanksgiving is especially important to people like myself who aren't native to this world country since it gives us a chance to really look at what we've gained by coming here.

I've gained a chance to have a future doing what I love and met the woman of my dreams.

For me?

I couldn't imagine being anything other than thankful to be an American.

Good Morning!

I am still so full of turkey and sides and delicious pie I could burst! I didn't want yesterday to end at all! I hope others had an equally fantastic Thanksgiving with equally as fantastic company.

Sadly, back to work bright in early this morning. It's chilly enough that I'm actually wearing the coat I got from my dreams. I love it, it's so warm and comfy!

If anyone is out shopping on Black Friday, everything in my shop is 20% off. As usual, mention Valarnet and get an additional 10% off the entire purchase.

Happy Return of the Season, everyone!

I think I am going to just stay at home today I've heard far too many scary Black Friday stories, I'm usually working and rather glad I haven't ever been subjected to it.

I must admit, going from sunny California's warm weather to the frigid temperatures of Michigan was quite the shock to the system. My poor parents were quite shocked I came unprepared clothing wise. At any rate, I had a wonderful time with family which was long overdue. I'll be reluctant to leave their company tomorrow, though I won't miss this weather.

I hope everyone else has had a good Thanksgiving full of food, family and fun. And if anyone is daring to venture out today for Black Friday, good luck and be safe. I've never understood the need to camp outside a store to get the lowest price on something when at this point in history, one can probably get a similar deal on the internet, but oh well. To each their own.

New York is amazing and my incredible boyfriend has been very good in letting me make him do all the touristy things with me. I kind of love the Statue of Liberty and Central Park is gorgeous.

The parade was definitely a sight to see and was really rather lovely but today we are staying in and hiding from the scary Black Friday shoppers, I don't fancy trying to buy anything today. Besides I'm kind of still stuffed full of food, Gabe's family go all out and it was the best food I've ever eaten.

Hope everybody else is having a good time!

I was surprised to see a decent number of people in my restaurant last night. I thought Thanksgiving was more of a family affair, but I guess if you don't have family to celebrate with, then going to a restaurant is a good idea.

The menu was made specially for the occasion, of course. I couldn't help serving my grandmother's oyster dressing. It would feel wrong not to.

I may be a Brit, but I did rather enjoy the festive nature of Thanksgiving here in the States. It's a wonderful feast, and so hearty. I feel like I have been dragging all day because of it, unfortunately, but I did go out and participate in the wonder of 'Black Friday', and purchased many brilliant things.

I woke up this morning, and went to the doctor with a very hard time breathing. My lungs had smoke damage, from what? I don't know. I don't really smoke, and frankly I don't frequent any place where smoke is common.

I don't know what this means, really.

Yay, Thanksgiving is over and I'm stuffed. Do I get to grumble about what I'm not thankful for now? I seriously can't with these dreams right now.

It is way beyond time that I invested in a super durable punching bag. And cookies. And ice cream. And possibly some extra Kleenex.
