Well that was a strange dream.

I had a gift appear in my closet this morning from my dreams. I have to say that the uniform is a bit nicer than my actual Marine dress blues, but I'm not entirely certain how I feel about it either.

Thanksgiving is quickly approaching, and I'm extremely excited by this. We're going to visit Gracia's family, which will be nice, and her mother will get to fuss over Elicia. Sometimes I worry if she'll become spoiled since she's the only grandchild at the moment, but she's a very smart girl with a big heart so I don't think I should worry too much.

I mean, just look at this face!

Mid-morning snacks are my saving grace since I still feel like I've not fully adjusted to the time switch from the East Coast to here. Thank you granola bars for keeping me going.

I'm Leela, owner of Turanga's Martial Arts Studio that just opened up last month in Newport Beach. We've got something for all levels of experience, so if you're interested in learning a few new things come by and check us out. I'm also on the lookout for a photographer to do shots for promotional materials and instructors since I'm lacking a few in that department.

I like it here, a lot. Seems like a nice place to settle down and make a life at, you know? Lots of people, a great university, wonderful vistas to enjoy, and some seriously awesome coastal scenery!

Oh, ah also, hi! I'm Conner Kent, new resident, new student at UC: Irvine, and generally new all around. My therapist told me I should take a look at this place, so here I am!

It's been a bit since I last made any sort of update.

I'm still alive and I was spending my time nerding out and making myself a cosplay outfit. I'm super tired but I think it came together, nicely. What do you all think?

On that note, I'm gonna go out. I think I've been cooped up long enough.

So, anyone have any particularly exciting holiday plans? Mine unfortunately are limited to dancing and working, but I plan on squeezing in some Christmas shopping this weekend. I'm not brave enough for Black Friday.
