Uuuugh, why are you so far away from me, Spring Break? February is the worst month because the only holiday it has is a crummy one, and then after that there's just nothing until Easter. I feel like we should hibernate or something.

OH. Also: I'm Doreen, I just joined this network, and I'm over at CSU Fullerton. Go Titans, or something. (Our mascot's name is Tuffy, I just looked it up. That's so not threatening.)

Previously in dream land I dreamed about my cat who turned into a demon. Now, I've had a dream where I was forced to fight a demon who turned into a giant cat (though I'm pretty sure fighting giant demon cat came before running from medium sized cat demon).

I have no idea of my dream world has a weird penchant for cats and demons, or if it's just me.

At least Sir Pounce-A-Lot will protect me from any mean nasty demons that come my way here.

Now this is something.

Of course, now I want to go visit Lanhydrock once it goes on display. But to have an actual book that was in his library? This is exciting.

Two lunkheads broke into my house recently and they were carrying a paintball gun and a baseball bat. And they had stockings on their heads! Who actually does that? Luckily we got the living room window fixed relatively quickly but I took a shot for the team and ended up with a bruise the size of a baseball on my side. Bloody paintballs hurt.

I'm moved! All moved in to my new place and the old landlord has the keys and I'm done with my old apartment and hopped up on sugar! Now I have to try and sit still for long enough to get some studying done. Dang, where did my lunch break go? It's already 10 minutes in and I'm starving. Where's my food!

I mean, sorry, sidetracked like a pro.

If you're a friend and need to get ahold of me, I'm living with Caroline and Lexi now. But wait, if you're a friend and need to get ahold of me, why weren't you helping me move boxes on Saturday, hmm??

Watching the news makes me miss my travels to remote parts of the world. I can't say I'm being altruistic when I say I want to be that woman risking her life - I don't have people who depend on me, I don't have family - instead of someone with two kids.

I would prefer to be that girl. I hate the thought of some of my colleagues doing it now.

Is that selfish? It might be.

Coffee tastes the best when it's free. I suppose I should be grateful that this child trying to stick up our local convenience store was so incompetent. Robbing a store in broad daylight? Tsk, tsk. It really is amateur hour today.

On the bright side, overall crime seems to be calming down. Perhaps now our civil servants won't feel so overworked.

Sometimes it feels as if all I do now is rehearse. Between the rehearsals in the dreams and waking up as if I'd been rehearsing to then go rehearse for Carmina Burana... I suppose it's helped though. And I know it won't last forever as Carmina Burana is at the end of the month. Silver linings.

So as you all know D'Artagnan and I are engaged and we'd like to invite our friends to our engagement party.

It's going to be a casual thing at our home, BBQ, pool, that kind of thing.

March 14th so let me know if you're coming just so I can get an idea of numbers. If you want to bring food please feel free though there will be plenty.

Well that's done. It seems the police have caught the man who was following me and things are able to go back to normal. Or normal for here. Anyway, one less thing to worry about.
