So I'm headin' back to New York on Tuesday to spend Thanksgiving with the family. Mom's actually excited, which is a surprise. Was sure she'd written me off as a lost cause all the way out here in Cali. I'm sure she'll try to talk me into moving back East and going back to the NYPD. It'll be hella tempting but I gotta say, the OC has grown on me.

I'm gonna see if I can try to check out the Macy's Parade balloons on Wed night as they're blowing 'em up. Always something I wanted to do. I just gotta remember to pack cold weather gear. Because I've seriously forgotten what it's like over there already.

Daisy is becoming more and more proficient with the use of her Duplo sets. I came in her bedroom to find that she'd built an entire castle out of the blocks, and was using the tiny figures to have a pretend feast. Of course, without little, Duplo food, they were simply eating the giraffe. It was laying out on the table with all of the Duplo people around it.

Seems to me that would be a very strange Thanksgiving.
