I'm looking at the holiday schedule, and our current employee roster, and realizing that my last day before maternity leave is November 30th, and I'm absolutely terrified. We just don't have the manpower for the Christmas Rush. My current employees are wonderful and efficient, but I don't want to overload them with too much work over the holidays.

Izzy (my assistant manager) and I will be conducting interviews until November 1, and then extensive training during the month of November. The deal is that I get to veto any Halloween costume ideas that I find to be inappropriate for a twelve year old. Not sure about this Monster High business. I'll have to do a bit more research before I can give an answer to that one.

Why is it that young girls' costumes just keep getting smaller and smaller?

Halloween is definitely a lot sexier than I remember it being. I like it.

Sometimes it's better if you don't let me near my kitchen. Seriously. I've got a huge pot of gumbo going, and I made three loaves of French bread. And another pie. It smells so good in here...

I've been told that this is the place if you want to get to know people and make new friends. Strange how having a one-year-old makes you long for the company of people your own age, as wonderful as their company is.

Thank you so much to everyone who made it to the baby shower this past Saturday! I still can't believe the little ones decided they need to make an appearance at the shower. I really appreciate you all coming, helping us out, and the amazing gifts. It was also great to have my family come down as well and I am so happy to be able to get a little more sleep in the mornings since my mother is in love with her grandbabies.

I took a lot of photos and will have to send out copies in the thank you cards - so if you came to the movie look for a picture of you and the twins in your mailbox soon.

I also can't decide if the twins are too small to dress up for Halloween or not. Still debating with Anakin on that one.

I hope everyone's having a great Monday! Seems like I survived midterms only to have to decide on a Halloween costume, and when is this Christmas shopping going to do itself? But nevermind that.

What's everyone going to be for Halloween? I need ideas.
