May have gotten in trouble for sneaking some candy out of its hiding place and away with me to work. I was going to replace it! I just happened to get caught before I did.

The candy is now replaced, and Halloween is saved. The kids are very excited about Derek taking them out tomorrow night. He still won't tell me his costume, but hopefully the kids will like it.

Being unable to talk or make any noise at all has been very disconcerting. Considering my job consists of me talking, I've had to call out or should I say, I had to text my boss, which I think I unprofessional, but there was nothing I could do about it.

Just in time. I got the call this morning and was able to get the jacket for my costume. The goodwill does wonder for the wallet but it wasn't exactly my size. Altered and perfect fit now. Can anyone guess who I'm supposed to be? A bag of candy to the first person to get it.

So guess who doesn't get Halloween off? Apparently one too many requested the day off for partying and fun. Unlucky me gets to go in and serve coffee and pastries to the crazy masses.

Who wants to come in today night? Bring me candy and a friendly, non-customer face.

I haven't been this quiet since, I think since I was born. Pretty sure I was loud since birth. You can ask my brothers and sister. Although it has given me time to reflect on the fact that I'm glad I still have a mouth. I would have been way creeped out if I had woken up with a mouth. Sorry about that.. for those, well you know. Sorry.

On the fifth day, I have to admit to am beginning to enjoying the relative silence.

Two hours, two cups of tea, five carved pumpkins, and one freshly sown costume later, and I'm feeling pretty good about Halloween's arrival. Even the activity in the house has become eerily quiet- the whispering, footfalls, and knocking has stopped-- even as my dreams are becoming significantly worse. I admit, I don't sleep much anymore.

Regardless, tonight is Loki's magic show. John, if you're reading this I need to know if you planning on accompanying me. If I get my voice back tonight I'll be performing the ritual. With luck, it'll be gone by morning, the others will fall into line, and then at last my house will be in order.

Natasha and Thor, thank you for agreeing to take Garm for the evening. I'm sure he'll be a great help fending off the more adamant trick or treaters. I'll send him with a bone. He'll be preoccupied and more passive for your sanity.

Well shit. It's my birthday today and I had to text my family to tell them not to call me to wish me a Happy Birthday because my voice is gone.

My mother was not pleased at all and I know my father wants to talk about the Red Sox winning the World Series last night. Well, they'll have to wait until this passes and I get my voice back. Fingers crossed it's really soon.

Definitely one of my weirder birthdays.

It would be much easier to get her down if I could sing the lullaby.

At least I'll fit today.

Does anyone know how to stop recording a television series? I have no recollection of this show but I have seven episodes on my DVR. It is infuriating.

Happy Halloween, everyone! My class had a busy, fun filled day, which ended with a trip to go trick or treating around the school. It was very cute. Now I have to go home and get ready to pass out more candy this evening.

I've got fangs, and I can only go out at night. Tonight is the time of year to make it work for me.

If anyone wanted to come over to watch horror movies and keep me company since I can't really go out, I'd appreciate it.

What's your favorite Halloween Candy?!

I've decided to stay in tonight. Perhaps that makes me some sort of Halloween-loathing old man, but the truth is I've never enjoyed. Never enjoyed the fireworks, never enjoyed the ridiculous dignity-destroying costumes, never enjoyed children rapping my door at night. The fireworks are particularly loathsome, a series of bright lights that makes idiot stand and gawp like chimps.

I'm really glad I didn't catch whatever's going around, I'd have to have to explain to my director that I can't come to rehearsals because I have no voice.

To the people who lost voices: Lots of tea with honey helps, I've found? And avoid dairy, it builds up phlegm.

Unless this isn't laryngitis and it's just a weird OC thing, in which case... I've got nothing.

I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL Halloween! I did not go out as planned. You know that whole not talking thing. Which is super depressing. I'd even picked up a costume to go to work in. But oh well.

Here's hoping I get my voice back soon. I miss talking.

Decided to help my girlfriend in the hospital today. I dressed up as Peter Pan and gave candy to the kids. They seemed to really dig it.

My daughter is getting a puppy. My dad's supervisor at the hospital's dog had a litter of puppies. My dad took Nessie over to see how she'd interact with the puppy. Cuteness ensued and thus we will be adopting the little critter be be Nessie's best friend.

With all this no mouth stuff, I sorta missed my own birthday. Now I feel even more crappy than I did when I got here. Hospitals suck. Spending both my Birthday and Halloween in here is not my idea of fun.

Yup, WWII themed couple costumes with my boyfriend as an Army officer and myself as his special lady. This is what I get for dating a history teacher. Of course I had to go searching for an outfit as era appropriate as possible too. Gonna be the best Halloween ever.
