Just so you know, on October 12th, I've got the day off of work and nobody will probably hear from me. Figured I'd give you a heads up.

More strange happenings in the OC, dear listeners!

As I reported on my show last night, I've been reading an awful lot of reports of strange animal behaviours, instances of telepathy, and many other things!

One thing I'll say about our city, it's never boring.

The children are actually listening to me. This is bizarre.
I even got Robert to make some major concessions

On second thought, this is fantastic.

Somewhat annoyed that the recent crisis hasn't afforded me a chance to practice my self-defense skills. The chaos in Orange County seems to leave me alone, passing to either side of me, as if I was a rock in the river.

And I'm not exactly sure that flying animals or telepathy are things I can use as jewelry inspiration.

I've been considering hiring myself out as a plant exterminator. Does anyone need help in this regard? Edited: Strike the 'hiring' part. You don't have to pay me. I just want to stab some crazy plants.

Tonight we air the first episode of the last ten for Black Widow. I'm excited to show you all how it all ends.

There'll also be a short teaser for my new movie, Deyanira. I'm even more excited about that!

I am seriously starting to worry about that 0.1% of germs that Lysol doesn't kill--but at the same time, very, very glad that Neena hasn't seemed to think about them yet.

And one of my dogs just shot me in the ass with a laser. Spectacular.

So I've not been here for very long, still sorta settling in and trying to get my bearings, but I'm unpacked at least. I knew California was going to be different from Arizona, the weather is more tolerable for one thing, less sand which is even better. But I'm starting to think that my expectations might have been a little off. It's not as, uh, normal as I would have expected.

Maybe normal isn't exactly the right word, less odd, maybe? I don't know, I'm not sure, but it's certainly not what I expected.

I had a very long and involved conversation with my employer again. They seem pretty satisfied with my work. They were going to call me back until I talked them into staying. I'm really close to a major breakthrough.

Hospital food sucks and Shepard's one of the worst patients I've ever seen. Thank God for Angry Birds, I guess, or I'd be going completely insane.

I don't even want to think about the mileage I've put on my car traveling back and forth between the ranch and the hospital.

Have you had to deal with three flying cats and a squirrel with laser beams that can bench press a horse? Believe me, you don't want to. This week can be over any time now.

There is nothing in the world like looking at the new life you've created, and seeing its numerous complicated parts all working together to make it move. It's brain, still barely programmed tries to fulfill a simple command while you hold your breath.

Then, success! It drills a perfect hole. That hole may be a foot higher than you specified, but it is a good hole, nonetheless.

I'm not entirely sure the cats are appreciating me having the new NIN album on loop. I can't help it, I love this stuff.
