I GOT A COMMERCIAL!

I can't believe it. I am so stoked. I'm in a commercial. Me. HAH! THIS IS GREAT!

I went to see the doc today, 'bout my missing hand. He gave me some options....and they're all fuckin' expensive. Jesus, how the hell am I meant to afford some of these fake hands? Huh? So I gotta walk around with a stump, trying to get a job somewhere? Can't even claim it off my vet insurance, because this shit didn't happen in 'official combat'. I got nothing.

I am glad to say I finally managed to get a job, and get most definitely settled again. It's a engineering design and support job for the headquarters of a company that just moved into the area, called Genesis, Inc. They are small, but they seem really nice. Most of their business has been in Egypt and Greece, apparently, helping spread technology infrastructure in some of the more remote areas.

So, that's fun! I spent a lot of this month in training with them, learning their policies and their style of equipment and business. I am very excited about working with them and already enjoying this job!

My son has started to swat at things. Anything you hold close enough for him to hit, he will attempt to hit it. Flowers... toys... my hand.

Is it bad that I'm 'fan-casting' my own book characters? Like, I would totally go and anonymously join one of those livejournal roleplaying forums, just to see what kind of critique I'd get.

Oooooh, I'm all excited. I got my tickets and all my stuff ready for DragonCon in September, and I have the perfect cosplay idea. I've done so many comic characters ... this time I'm going full vamp. Pardon the pun. I'm doing Mina Harker from Dracula.

Normally I really like my job. Cooking is just one of those things that helps me forget about everything else going on. However, then there are days like today where you have that one customer who has a complaint about everything about their meal and it makes me start to doubt myself. I know that it's them and not me, but it makes it difficult to continue doing my job well after that.

God it's good to be in my own bed.

Hey guys, I was away forevers! Almost 5evers! I had my baby! I'll only go into details if you ask! But she is super healthy and being a mom is kind of hard. Any ladies have any tips on getting them to sleep at night properly?

My name is Oyama Yuriko. Some of you may know me from your dreams. In my dreams, and in some of yours, I may be known as Lady Deathstrike.

Deathstrike did terrible things. I can only imagine what I have not seen yet. But I am not Deathstrike, and I will not be Deathstrike.

I don't know if it matters to anyone, but according to a doctor I have seen, I may die soon from the metal that is now in my body. If I do, I wanted anyone who would care to know that Deathstrike will die with me. If I don't, I will work to keep her as nothing more than a nightmare.

I don't expect sympathy or forgiveness or anything, especially from those of you who already hate and fear her. But I have nothing to lose at this point by being honest. So, honest I have been.

I'm trying to find something to do with all my free time. It's been getting a summer job (which may turn into a school-year job) or reading. I'm tending to lean towards reading. UNLESS, someone has a really cool place a teenager can work for the summer.

Otherwise, anyone have any good books to recommend? Is there any kind of book club around here? I'm pretty much open to anything. I am hoping for things I can find at the local library instead of spending all money at the bookstore. I wish Border's was still around with their nice 40% off coupons.
