Is there perhaps something in the water here? Had very odd dreams the other night. I dreamt I was a prince in a noble family in some ancient world, and our kingdom was called Starkhaven, which is the name of my father's earldom. It wasn't horrible, but it was rather vivid. Had brothers, unlike real life, and I seemed to have been the wastrel in the family. Which is perhaps very like real life.

Firstly, I've never seen such gorgeous daggers as the ones that were sitting in a box on my dressing table this morning. They're stunning.

Secondly, I, er, feel as though I should apologize, as silly as it might sound. I dreamt of when we found the Qunari relic, and then ... disappearing. I made preparations to get out of Kirkwall, and then, I don't know, my conscience ate at me. Didn't know I bloody well had one. Hawke, it's really your fault at all that I came back into that nest of qunari. I don't mean any offense, but in this life if it's between living and honouring a friendship, I'm going to keep my hide intact, thank you.

Now that I've got living arrangements settled, I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Maia Amell, and I'm the new librarian at UC: Irvine (for all intents and purposes). I'm taking classes there, as well, as they seem rather interested in getting me a teaching position there for ancient studies.

It's almost like they think I'm an expert in my field.

So Spring ball's been a killer. It's been fun though. Working out, and even more importantly, getting to run the first team offense.

Aaaaand now I can't control my powers.

Anyone around who's good with shadows? Or walking through them? Or, you know, beating down djinn? Any Norse gods around?

I am both nervous and excited about cameras taping Roy and myself for the television. I truly do not think my home life will be so interesting; any reason that people may find me interesting is because of my work. And there is only so much of that they can video!

Personally, I think the person who will come away from this a superstar is Buddah, my dog. (I do not know why the people I adopted him from spelled his name in such a way.) But just wait until everyone sees him shake hands, roll over, and dive into the pool!

Inventing the banana daiquiri a couple of centuries early and meeting the Madame de Pompadour all in the same dream? All in a day's work, really.

Even if it was a bit of a downer, I think that was a lovely dream to have had.

Well, hello there, Valarnet. I'm Niklaus, but my friends just call me Nick. I might look familiar if you've been by the Huntington Beach Art Center, since I've been working their since finishing up my BA. I've also been subbing around the high schools here.

One of these days, I'm going to have my own exhibit. Or possibly my own gallery. You'll forgive me if I spam you with my work, but I do enjoy showing off.

I guess I get that I've been in a really awful mental place for a really long time, ditched rehearsal for a week when I took that mental health break, and fucked up my looks in the process and the girl playing against me doesn't want to kiss me onstage and I can't blame her. It's even kind of a relief but getting demoted to understudy after THIS whole time with my understudy taking the role I was supposed to do? Pretty embarrassing. I get that I deserve it but...still. Kinda a pain.

So, I've had an interesting couple of weeks. Very interesting. Awkward, happy, angry, irritable, focused, excited, disappointed... it's been a roller coaster of emotions. Very much looking forward to Friday, so I can go have a few drinks and possibly sing some karaoke.

Oooh, Karaoke or Dance, Dance Revolution? (Did you know that game still exists after Rock Band stole its thunder?) Who's with me??

Tessa, can I just get that punch card thing we were talking about that one time?

I'm waiting for my insurance to call 'being me' a pre-existing condition.

I'm usually not one for shameless promoting (all right, that's a lie), but seeing as this is for a good cause, I'm going to do it anyway.

This weekend I'm going to Los Angeles to do a bit in a magic show. All proceeds will be going to children in need, and, really, who doesn't love a good bit of magic? Most participants are members of the Magic Castle so it's bound to be fantastic.

Well, I did it. Or, I guess I should say, the Dream Me did it. Got married. Defeated the evil invasion with the help of some really good friends, and got married to the stallion man of my dreams. Her dreams. Gosh, it's so confusing. And I'm guilty because I love Kurt

It was a really nice wedding, though. And a super fun reception!

Dream me is so fucking naive and kind of annoying. Honestly, I don't think I've ever met someone that naive. I wasn't even that naive when I was really seventeen. I can totally understand why that guy was trying to push me away. Either way, I apparently got his attention, so I guess it paid off.
