Ok, so I'm doing this while I'm feeling brave and slightly drunk. My new friend Lúthien has inspired me to be a bit more...daring, so this is me...coming out of my shell.

Hi Valarnet! My name is Elphaba Thropp and I moved here a few weeks ago but wasn't brave enough to introduce myself. I've also bought a flute, but I've never played before, so if anyone can give me lessons I'd be very appreciative! And also, does anyone know of any local animal shelters in the area? Once this quarantine's finished I would love to volunteer!

Oh my gosh, Unicorns are the most wonderful thing in the world. Now that I'm back in my own bed, I've been dreaming again. Unicorns, Prefect Duties, watching Ron Weasley play quidditch. That song's catchy, even if Draco was a douchebag in writing it. I helped, too. God, I'm such a bitch in my dreams. Wtf.

Anyone else have dreams about being a total jackass?

Our lab has been synthesizing the antidote to the blue virus pretty much nonstop since it arrived. At least I've been able to get some rest and some much needed time with my family now that I'm no longer working on developing greater inhaler technology to treat the symptoms of said virus.

For anyone who needs to be inoculated, please comment below. I can have the antidote sent to your home for you to take.

I'm not planning on going to church tomorrow.

Feels really weird to say it "out loud."

All of my classes are postponed until next week. I'm working on a schedule with the school to make sure that my students will have enough hours this semester for their classes to count for credit. After losing a few weeks to the epidemic, I'm afraid it's going to be a difficult semester for a lot of them.

Do you have any idea how amazing it is to use your own shower? Holy shit. I think I may never leave my bathroom again. Sorry, Marius, you're going to have to go and use the neighbor's because I am staying here, with my organic products, and my finally decent looking again hair that the jello has been removed from at last FOREVER.

Or at least until it's time to go and visit my friends again. Enj is doing well but they wanted him on one more day of the meds at least before they'll release him. Which is just as well considering what he's like sick. Note to all of us, never ever ever let sick him experience philosophy, especially historical philosophy, especially enlightenment era philosophy ever, EVER again. This should be a club rule. Hell, this should be some kind of state LAW. Maybe federal.

Joly, what about you? I missed hearing what they were doing with you, since you were with the doctor at the time, and they'd drawn the curtain, but I'm hoping you're not dying now.

I'm glad this thing is finally starting to settle down. Keeping the faith had gotten...sort of hard this last week with everybody turning into smurfs and all. It'll be good to get back to normal.

Also, I'm totally serious about that idea I had where we should try to put together a donation for Stark to help with the fund they have going on for relief here. Now that this is dying down in terms of the sickness, what can I do to help? Or does anyone else need it for that matter? It just...feels like we should do something. I come from a family of rich assholes in the dreams and I feel really terrible about that even if I dropped the participle that they used. I have to do something to make it feel okay again.

Still stuck at the hospital. Inhaler wasn't working properly enough. Because my life wasn't uncomfortable enough, they said I'd got to see how things work out with an oxygen mask for a while.

To take things in a more interesting direction, so I'm not just whining about stuff on the Internet, who's dyed their hair crazy colors? I need a recommendation for a good dye that won't look weird after a few washes. I don't mind bleaching or frequent upkeep, but I don't want to ruin my hair, either.

My company wants to make a large donation to a "Blue Flu" fund, so that the vaccine and inhalers can be made available to those who don't have the means to pay for them. We'd like to see this disease stopped in its tracks. Only problem is I'm not sure where we should write the check. Is that something that I can do through Stark Industries? Or straight to the Pharmaceutical company?

Does anyone know?

The zoo had an opening! It's only two days a week for a grand total of four hours but that's $40 a week I didn't have before. Suck it job market!

Though, I've been contemplating just going back to school instead. Avoid paying school loans by wracking up more debt, that makes sense right? And then you could all call me Doctor Abby Maitland.

I wonder what the salary is for a Herpetologist Veterinarian... Good? Bad? Worth the effort?

Well, I've gotta say I'm glad that's over. The plague thing hit the studio hard, I've gotta say. There are a couple faces I'm not going to be seeing again when I head into the cafeteria on the backlot. One of my writing team, but mostly people that I know from hanging around the industry long enough.

It's...tough, it really is. I haven't felt like doing much outside of burying myself in second season plots we'd all discussed since I don't deal real well with death at the best of times, and that was...kind of the worst I've really dealt with. I know, I'm a big boy, put on the shorts and deal with it, whatever, but really? I don't WANT to be the one who deals with it.

Tell you the truth, I tend to run away from problems, tried to run away from this thing and I managed not to get it myself, but I feel kind of guilty about the fact I did it now. I mean, sure, self interest but still. I could've, I don't know, sent flowers or some crap, I don't know, death's not really my area.

Hell, does anybody want for that to be their area?

We'll probably be back to read throughs at some point this week and it's just going to be really, really strange. I don't actually do the whole emotion thing, but I'm kinda close right now or something?
