Okay, so this whole overtime thing? Really needs to stop. It's getting so old. Aaand that means I really need to do something in this town that isn't hanging around work. Anyone up for something? Really need to check in on Mom, too.

I'm ashamed to admit that I smoked straight through a pack last night. My lungs are pretty angry with me this morning. I think I'll take the afternoon to sleep.

Oh. And Kitty. That thing we found. You broke it. The bill is in the mail.

Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in the motorcycle I was selling. I'm happy to say I found a buyer. Possibly the creepiest man I've ever met, but at least the bike's gone.

Okay, four or five nights of this is just a bit much. I'm not going to drink myself into a stupor unless it's a special occasion, and trying to avoid bizarre dreams is the wrong sort of special.

Just got the call an hour ago! Yours truly is now the assistant choreographer and Visiting Professor of Dance at UC-Irvine. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit intimidated, going from teaching five year olds to college, but I've got a good track record for leading dancers to getting awards, and I don't plan for that to change. This time next year, UC-Irvine will be national title competitors.

I have to tell you, though. Living in a hotel? Not so bad. But Elspeth, I would like to reschedule to meet up with you. Could we do that?

Mum, Dad, its totally cool if I spend a month in Wales and England, yeah? I mean, it's for work, so it's completely legit, and I'd even go visit batty Aunt Muriel while I'm there! And Peeta and Katniss will be in London for the Games! Completely safe.

Just like going to at NYU. Completely safe. And you'd get to come visit and go see some theatre!

Today officially sucks.

I can't find my favorite earrings, my dog is going crazy after being penned up all night, my cats are all pissed at me, and the only thing in the mail was bills.

The lawnmower is broken and I can't get my weed-whacker to work, then I cut myself while trying to fix the damn thing.

I want a do-over.

That's the little coffee shop I tend to do my notes at after hours. There isn't even a Starbucks or anything nearby. Shame so many little businesses can't make ends meet right now.

So they're saying next week. Which is a long time to go for a scotch, but whatever. Ready to get out of here. Got big things in the hopper.
