Sam couldn't shake the conversation he'd had with someone on the network. He wasn't the sort of lawyer who sought to line his own pockets. Sure, the money he made was nice. It was sufficient for him to live in a modest three bedroom, with a nice view and a pool and hot tub in the back yard while still paying child support to his ex. He wasn't really hurting for anything, but he didn't become a lawyer for the money. He had a firm belief in the justice system and loved being part of the process.
But the conversation hit him hard, and so he decided to take a day off and go to Pimpernel Outreach. He had been involved with the non profit for a while now, volunteering when he could. He hadn't made time for it for a while, and decided it was time to start making it a priority again. He stopped off for a coffee before he went in, and finished it in the car before going inside to look for whoever was on site at the time to find out where he would be needed.
