Despite the fact that Stahma tended to stay indoors during events like whatever was currently going on, she had gone out to try and take advantage of the chaos the non-dreamers were experiencing to try and pick up some more information about her problem. While she was more than content to play the long game in getting her business assets back, that didn't mean that she wouldn't take advantage of situations to get information that she needed in order to take back what was hers.
Stahma tried to make herself as incognito as possible given many in her less-than-legal dealings knew what she looked like. At least what her human self looked like, anyway. She'd pulled her hair into a ponytail and dressed far more casual than she ever did. Stahma was careful, not knowing what was going to happen next given the sun was black and the moon and stars had disappeared the night before. She was texting with Natasha, appraising her of what she was doing, just in case something happened. Whether it was the getting caught kind of something happening or the apparently apocalypse event kind of happening.
Perhaps luckily for Stahma, an earthquake had struck instead, interrupting her getting to an area she knew some of her operatives hung around in. Cursing, she promptly stopped responding to Natasha as she tried to avoid a collapsing building she was passing by. However, she wasn't so lucky. She tried to run, but ended up diving and getting buried in the rubble. Her phone fell from her grasp in the mad dash and got pulverized by some debris. Stahma was rendered unconscious, though she didn't know for how long. When she came to, she was trapped under the rubble from the building. She tried to move but as she tried to get up on an elbow and shift her position, she cried out a bit at the pain in her side.
"Shtako," she cursed under her breath. She looked around, trying to gauge a potential way out, but she didn't see anything.
"Hello? Is anyone there?" A voice rang out. It took a moment for Stahma to process it as she felt dizzy and unsettled.
"Yes, I'm in here!" She called back.
"Are you injured?" The female voice asked again.
"Yes," she responded. Stahma didn't know how bad she was hurt, but it felt like she'd broken a rib at the very least. She then heard something heavy start to shift, like the rubble was moving. She wasn't certain what was going on, but she seriously hoped that nothing was trying to collapse on her again.
But suddenly, the piece of a wall that had been on her back lifted off. Stahma looked up to see a tall, dark haired woman toss the rubble aside. The woman took a moment to assess the situation as she knelt down beside Stahma.
"Where are you injured?"
"My side. I may have broken a rib. I also have a headache." Stahma explained.
"I can get you to a hospital if you wish." Emergency services were stretched thin, but Diana believed that this woman did need to get to a hospital. Stahma merely nodded before Diana helped her up, then helped get her to the nearest hospital. Stahma would find some way to contact Natasha once she was at the hospital.
In retrospect, she probably should have just stayed at home. Though this easily could have happened there as well.
