Azula wanted to remind Ty Lee of her feelings. After all the bad things lately, and Ty Lee dreaming again, she felt this was imperative. She wore a red dress with a bare back that sparkled, and put her hair up, with diamond earrings. She’d booked a dinner at a fairly public place - she wanted to be seen with her, and she didn’t care about rumors.
Ty Lee was pleased to go out with Azula, especially with Azula in that dress. She was wearing a nice white dress with a pink bow at the waist with matching heels. She was getting ready in the bathroom so Azula would get a big reveal when she came out wearing that gorgeous little dress. Ty Lee could hardly wait to see her wife in that thing, it was so gorgeous! It was perfectly suitable for Azula.
Azula double checked her hair (if nothing else she was still incredibly anal about it), and then walked into the living room to wait for her wife. The wedding ring felt pleasantly heavy on her finger, and after the night they’d had, she was in a very good mood.
Ty Lee bounced into the living room, grinning widely when she saw Azula. “Oh, you look beautiful!” It was nice to be doing something normal like going out with her wife after a night of amazingly tender sex. Ty Lee was still grinning madly every time she remembered the previous night, and it occasionally send shivers up her spin just to remember it.
From the smile and girlish giggle that suddenly escaped Azula’s lips, she was also remembering the same thing. She took Ty Lee’s hands. “Not half as you. All ready?”
Ty Lee nodded eagerly, squeezing Azula’s hand. “I am. I’m always ready to go out with you.” She grinned widely, her expression nothing but joyful. This was going to be a good night. She went to the door, letting go of Azula’s hand long enough to open it for her.
Azula stepped out of the condo, and waited for Ty Lee to join her outside. She took her hand again and walked down to the car. She wanted to drive, herself, but she also wanted to touch Ty Lee. Gentle, loving touches, like newlyweds.
Ty Lee made the decision for Azula by sliding into the driver’s seat. She loved Azula, but she wanted to drive the car whenever she could. Azula was insane behind the wheel of a car.
“Not fair.” Azula slid into the other seat, and put her hand on Ty Lee’s leg. She decided she could mess with her wife, and slid her hand up farther as soon as they started to drive.
Ty Lee giggled and leaned over to kiss Azula before starting the car. “Behave. I don’t want to lose control of the car, and you know I can’t do anything when I’m distracted.” She winked at Azula, then started the car and pulled into the street.
Azula dug her nails into her thigh anyway, then peered at Ty Lee innocently. "What do you mean?" She put her arm around Ty Lee, and leaned her head on her shoulder.
"I love you."
Ty Lee moaned softly, whimpering a little. “So mean.” She said, smiling softly at Azula for a moment. “I love you too. Now let me drive safely.” She smiled again, freeing up a hand to hold the one Azula put on her shoulder.
Azula sighed, like she was greatly put out by all of this, then squeezed her hand and turned to watch the world pass by them. “I almost want to go back to Japan.”
Ty Lee thought about that a little bit. “I don’t remember it very well. Not the outside parts. I don’t think we’ll find anything worthwhile in Japan that we can’t find here.”
“I...there’s just so much I want to put behind me. We can try to do that here, maybe that’s healthier than running away.” She ducked her head, like running away was a thought that had crossed her mind.
Ty Lee thought about that for a little bit. “We could move to a different city around here? I like being close to people, and I’m starting to make real friends, but I wouldn’t mind living in Huntington Beach or some place like that.”
“I’ll start looking. We can buy a real house. I want a private beach.” It wasn’t like they couldn’t afford it, especially after her father’s death.
“I’d like that.” Ty Lee said with a smile as she pulled into the restaurant they were eating in. It was pretty high class, and she couldn’t wait to see what the food tasted like.
Azula strode into the place with Ty Lee on her arm, as though they owned the place - chances were, they did. She squeezed Ty Lee’s hand. “We have a very private table. And personal service.”
“Oh, that’s nice.” Ty Lee said, with the confidence of someone who was used to nice things. Thanks to Azula, Ty Lee was living a life she’d never dreamed of before. “This place is really pretty. But not as pretty as you.” She smiled sweetly at her love.
“Private enough that we won’t be bothered for quite a few minutes at a time,” Azula suggested.
Ty Lee giggled. “Then I like this place better already.” She said with a wink. “I think it will be a delight for all our senses.” She kissed Azula’s hand as they were swept off to a private room.
