I'm not sure who this guy knows since I only just met him..but are you guys aware he's been looking for ways to exorcise some kind of demon thing? Has he told you? He was..looking pretty tired when I ran into him. I think I might have found something though. There's a stone called the Philosopher's stone that I've been doing some research on anyway that might be able to help his current..problem.

Human souls of ones who have passed can be trapped and condensed with certain transmutation circles that make up the stone. It might still work on a magical demon thing? I don't know. But at this point I really just want to help the guy so..if someone can lend a hand I might be able to replicate one. It won't do any harm if i can't, it just won't work at all. I just haven't done it before but I've seen them.

The center will be hosting a halloween party on the 31st, to give the kids a chance to let loose and have a little fun. I'm looking for volunteers to chaperone, and a costume is required.

I'll put out an open post tomorrow to see if we can get some extra help.

The voice is faint, as if Rachel is 'multitasking' in her mind while speaking, or simply too weak to speak more loudly.

I found him, Kitty.

It starts around eleven-thirty. A star bursts into flame, somewhere on the horizon. What once was a dark blue sphere, sparkling with millions of points of light takes on a haze of orange as the brightest star in the galazy appears to come ever closer.

Is it a shooting star? Is it a comet? Astronomers take notice and begin to pour over charts and scientific measurements. But before they can puzzle through what might be coming earth's way, it arrives.

The stars fade and the blue sky is blotted out by orange fire. The fire forms into a distinctive pair of wings. Talons of flame and a tail fade off at the edge of the horizon, and a bird's head comes to life, screeching in jubilation. Moments later, it shrinks and flies off somewhere, leaving a trail of flame behind it in the sky.

Somewhere in Lake Forest, it finds what it was searching for. A house in the back of a sleepy little cul-de-sac gains a halo of phoenix-shaped light, before it disappears in a column of fire.

Shepard is retiring, for all intents and purposes, at the end of the month. I'll be taking over the ranch completely. I'll also be renaming it the Jean Grey Outreach Center.
