The lower level of the guildhall was done up like a Starbucks from Hell, with authentic branded crap onna shelf, sucky music over by the bar, and authentic baristas, all having died of something hipstery. There was coffee and booze and snacks, there was a dance floor cordoned off in one corner, and most of the other rooms were open for lounging or milling around.
The Birthday Girl was, at that particular moment, near enough to the door that she could greet all comers, but far enough away that she wasn't a foreboding presence. She was dressed as Anne Bonney, men's shirt, well-worn navy uniform pants, a belt made of rope and a pirate sword on one hip and a blunderbuss on the other. Her hair was tied back with a double-knotted twist of twine, and her tattoos were almost all visible.

Henn had had to get away from the noise that was New Orleans, even at the almost-outskirts. Her parents had things well under control after all, that and she realized that none of them had probably thought to check on the animals since the outbreak started.
So she'd gone home, she figured she'd check on the fuzzies first and then send out a general call to the rest of the Amoeba to see if anyone needed an extra pair of hands or a rescue or even just a supply run. Just at that particular moment she was sprawled on the floor with Arthur on one side, Dog on the other and Mamba playing king of the mountain, all three of them positively thrilled to see her. |

That was the newest addition to Artan's shop walking one of her customers to the door, giving the girl with the brand-new nose-ring another, tiny, jolt of healing on the way out, just to make sure she didn't start bleeding again, "Got your after-care kit? Good, good. Take it easy, and if you have any questions you've got my card."
She leaned against the doorframe, making sure the girl's ride was there to get her, before turning to head back inside and pack up for the day. |

After her re-re-re-re-interview Petit had decided to take a walking tour of Mordhaus, just to familiarize herself with the layout, never knew when that kind of thing might come in handy, when she may need to make a quick escape, or lead a charge. She'd always had a fairly good sense of direction, so even the labyrinthine corridors were no real challenge. |

It started with Teja. That was really all anyone needed to know. He shot Miniver with a super soaker filled with blood, and Miniver retaliated. It was then that Teja started recruiting. Somehow, word got spread fast as wildfire, and the whole place became divided. It was a battle of paintball guns versus blood weapons. The sides were constantly shifting, and people kept switching sides.
The current standing was this, as the main forces:
Blood: Teja, Toki, Nathan, and Torii
Paint: Miniver, the Skwisgaars, and Pickles.
Things could change at any moment, considering that Soren and Cassidy were called up, and Cass called up Henn and Sable. Even 359, Offdensen and Sadako were invited to join in.
Things were getting pretty messy in the huge castle. Walls and ceilings were dabbled with paint and blood. The place looked like a warzone of impressionist artists.

Warnings: With the exception of them talking about their pasts? Nada. It's weird.
Sweeney was in rare form, he'd actually gotten some sleep AND food somewhere between work and when he decided to tinker around on the computer. So he had a bit more color to him than he'd had in the past few days. And not only that, but he was almost just a bit more emotionally charged. He'd written the first part of his journal that chronicled what he felt was left out of the history books, and therefore, he was a bit less burdened with the past.
A walk sounded like a splendid idea, all 'round.
He showed up at the doorstep of the young lady after about twenty minutes, having had to find directions from the nearest portkey, and after he knocked, he straightened his jacket and waited patiently as he could, looking around him, getting a feel for the neighborhood as it was now. Seemed to have changed only marginally since he last saw it - new buildings, old streets. |
