Christopher Eccleston (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, "Doctor Who") will play John Lennon in BBC Four's upcoming "Naked Lennon," reports Variety.
The film highlights the years from 1967 to 1971 when the Beatle was ending his first marriage to Cynthia as Yoko Ono entered his life, coping with the death of manager Brian Epstein and the group's own messy and acrimonious disintegration.
Naoko Mori ("Torchwood") will play Ono and Rory Kinnear has been cast as Epstein. Other cast members include Claudie Blakley as Cynthia Lennon and Andrew Scott as Paul McCartney.
"Lennon Naked" was written by Robert Jones, the co-creator of BBC TV drama "Party Animals."

Fraser has only been present at this convention for four hours, and already he's managed to return a lost child to his parents, spotted a fault in the temperature regulation controls for the sauna during a rather enthusiastic tour of the hotel facilities, assisted a wheelchair-bound attendee in the absence of such from the hotel staff, and assured many more staff that Diefenbaker really is rather harmless, as long as one doesn't leave their lunch out where he can get to it: though it's quite possible that his baleful stare is indeed the undoing of many.
His internal apprehension about the event has not dissipated, but he reminds himself that much like his Consular duties back in Chicago, his presence is in fact serving a greater good-- in this case, a well-respected wolf charity. It's equally fortunate, he thinks, that the convention organisers have been considerate enough to put him up in an entirely different hotel than that of the event-- a far less expensive one, at his own insistence. It might perhaps be a delusion of security, for he is becoming rapidly aware how resourceful fans can be.
Diefenbaker, on the other hand, is in his element. It's been an effort to keep the wolf in sight; for as much as he is independent and capable of taking care of himself, Fraser's concern is more to do with the possible effect of the overindulgent nature of his legions of admirers on his internal organs. |

Just started reading a novel - the fiancee of the protagonist is named Hattie. Makes for some interesting inner dialogue.
For those I'm RPing with, and you know who you are, I apologize for my absence of late. My kids' birthday was last Friday (They're EIGHT. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?!?) and the weekend was spent as an extension of that. My hubby's b-day is the 25th, and of course this week is Thanksgiving here in the good ol' U.S. of A. I'll be around as I can, but as I fell asleep last night at 8:30 and I'm ready to head for bed right about now tonight or else flop over from exhaustion, I may be hit or miss for a few days. Just a little heads-up, and I hope everything returns to normal sooner rather than later.

Nessie Cullen was not sure how this happen. But she knew where she was and when she was. The roads looked slightly different, the town, the people. She stopped by a store, just to be sure. Asking the date of a stranger, the boy smiled and asked if she was from around here. She wondered what Mike would say if she told him he had gone on a date with her mom.
Nessie wondered if the Volturi were to blame but they were more for flaunting their power than using it mysteriously. Alice certainly hadn't seen this coming. This made Nessie feel it had something to do with Jacob or the pack. It made her certain that she had to go see him. But she wondered if he was a werewolf yet, if he would know her. Well of course he wouldn't, but he shouldn't either. He wasn't supposed to know her for a couple years. Just her being in town could mess up her whole future.
A truck passed her and slowed, the eyes of a Native American watching her progress down the street. Nessie wal;ked more quickly to the forest and as she hit the trees, bolted and took off at a full run towards La Push. It was no longer than a couple of miles in before she was surronded. She had been hoping to make it to Jacob's. They were prepared. They responded faster than she had expected. And they were not friendly. |

It's late, and her house has settled into nocturnal quiet by the time Bela heads upstairs to bed. She opens the door to her bedroom, anticipating Dean to be out - maybe over at the big house, watching films with Sam and playing with his nephew. Or out drinking with friends. Instead, she hears the shower shut off in her bathroom, and her eyebrows shoot up. He's not nearly as much for going out as he used to be, but it is a Friday.
She starts to remove the day's clothes, unzipping the jeans, lifting her shirt over her head, looking backward to toss them on the bed before picking them all up and dropping them en masse into the hamper. Her head turns back, and for a moment, Bela's movements stop, taking in the spectacle caught at the corner of her eye.
They're no longer newlyweds, but she is still struck by the clean lines of her husband's shoulders, his strong back; in a way, as pretty as his car. He's bent over the mirror, towel wrapped 'round his waist, mouth slightly ajar as he focuses, trying to scrape offending whiskers off his chin. His hair is wet and slicked back, his eyelashes wet and stuck together.
Bela can't help but think that he's still the most beautiful man she's ever laid eyes on.
She slam dunks her shirt and jeans into the hamper on her way into the bathroom, still in her knickers and bra. He's in front of the mirror, so her approach is not a surprise, but she still loves the way he smiles when she leans over, nestles in, and kisses his neck.
He smiles at her, pressing his lips to the top of her head. "Love you too." He's told her before that he's lucky to have her, but Bela knows better. Grace, after all, is the last thing she ever looked for. |
