=================
Jakob Thorn was beside himself. He hadn't seen Mordred at the school since that night he'd heard of the fire. He was a little worried. Okay, so they weren't best friends. But they got along well enough for the brief time around the Christmas holidays. He had tried calling the palace since he figured any guards or residents would know, but.. he wasn't seen ever since the fire. And he wasn't at school. Jake had even wandered around London to look for him, using his ability to reach out mentally. Nothing. So he had to be farther away. And he knew the world wasn't exactly safe for a young one. Granted, he knew the other boy could handle himself easily enough. But maybe too well. It was probably like dropping a bomb into a flammable basin. He'd scuffled against him a few times to know that. Which maybe begged the question, why was he now going out without his father? It was simple. Jake was special like Mordred. And he was the son of Damien after all, Jake was born into a family of Antichrists, and he was likely meant for that too. He probably should wait for his father. But alas, he could be a bit impulsive for a 14-year-old. He picked his clothes well. Jeans, dark shirt with a heavy metal logo, shades, fingerless leather gloves, and dark leather jacket. Badass!
He did leave his dad a note. "Aloha." Yes, that was all it said. He had seen the news about weather changes. He saw a post about some guy named Lex, and the man was right, they don't get ice on the coastal regions over there. But he had just recently saw the nightly news. When they reported world news, there was something about a funny-dressed boy who attacked security. Things about them flying on their backs by strong wind. And then a police report of three boys being attacked, in the same area as the drop in weather temperature. Jakob noticed the police sketch. It looked very much like the Druid boy that he knew. It could very well be someone else, so he had to make sure. So he had made his way to the airport and booked himself a flight. He smiled with pride when they told him to have a nice flight, Mr. Thorn. That was nice. Must be how his father felt when they talked that way to him. Thankfully he was at an age where minors could travel. If they were to ask to speak to a parent.. well, he could use his mind thing to persuade them otherwise.
So now he had boarded the plane destined for Hawaii. He really hoped this wasn't a wild goose chase and it turned out to be someone else in a green cloak with special abilities. But on the other hand, Mordred had never asked to be found. This was Jake's own plan of action. He had to know what was going on, maybe even help him. His damned curiosity and loyalty to friends. Mordred might not even want help. There may even be a fight. Antichrist Jr had considered that. But he had to see this through. He could probably deal with him well enough anyway, Jakob wasn't completely defenseless since they had fought before. Truth be told, he had missed seeing him at school, someone to talk to who understood power, traumatic pasts, and a dark destiny in their future. Jake didn't care much for that last part, he just liked fun much like his father does. Being powerful and having dark potential was just useful in a pinch.
So he sat in the first class section, backpack in the seat beside him. He was seated by the window. It was nice to have money, he supposed. The attendants were really nice too. During the flight, he had gotten a good lunch, candy, soda, honey-roasted cashew packets, juice, whatever else they had. He smiled as he thought of the beaches, the palm trees. The ocean. Oh, and did they really have waitresses in hula fur skirts and coconuts, like in movies? He also thought briefly of taking a coconut and slice it open. He had a couple before. They were really damn hard to crack open.. for those without special powers. Thankfully he had his own skills. It was a good four hours of flight while he napped. He was slowly woken as he opened his eyes. He looked down through the window and saw the city life in the Hawaii islands, as well as the tropical beach scenery. Now that was paradise, he thought.
The plane soon landed in another half hour. Jake then grabbed his backpack and began to walk out with the other people. He eventually made it through the terminal and walked through the airport, making a stop in one of the stores for essentials. Pop, nuts, some Twizzlers.. oh yeah, and a map. That would be helpful, right? He tucked them into his bag after purchase. Now that he had what he needed, he could start searching. It was a big island, he knew this. But he'd just have to cover all of it, hope he came across him soon. Before the Druid decided to run away to somewhere else. Jake didn't feel he had much time. The guy could be anywhere in Hawaii now. Thankfully, with any luck, taking a peek into minds around him would bring him closer to the target. He could compel them to forget afterward. Or if he felt really adventurous, maybe even make them his minions, act as a network of followers to find him, allowing him to see through their eyes. Well... it's what his father would do, anyway. So with a sigh, he began walking out of the airport, all set to continue his search...
