Who: Cassie Turner and Sor Skwigelf.
What: Sleepovers!
When: Friday night.
Where: Casa del Wolfpack.
Warnings: Cuteness, nothing else. They're not even teenagers.

Sor hoped that his and Cassie's parents would want time to themselves more often if it meant getting to have a sleepover with Cassie at Soren and Cass and Henn's house. It was awesome! Pirates used to own it, they had awesome pets, and he got to have sugar! That's what he was working on, holding marshmallows out for the older Soren to light them on fire just enough so they had a yummy burny outside.

Once that was done, he headed back to the guest room where he and Cassie were going to sleep, plate in one hand and milk in the other.

Cassie, ever the one to make sure they would both pass their classes, had just that moment finished Sor's maths homework, and had been stretching and groaning, cricking his neck after a long time hunched over the papers. Cass had class late, and that made Cassie feel slightly more at ease. He didn't much care for his older counterpart. He wondered how he could possibly ever become like that guy. It seemed near impossible in Cassie's mind that anything could make him turn out to be like Cass.

However, he did like hanging out with Sor. And Soren. His best friend especially, and double-especially when he had marshmallows. He smiled up at Sor and scratched through his own hair, stuttering slowly along the words he tried to speak.

"I'm going to stay up all night if I can, how about you?"

Sor always appreciated how much help Cassie gave him with his homework. None of it but music and gym really interested him, and he needed all the help he could get. It puzzled him that Soren had ended up a bookworm. Sor didn't think he could sit still long enough to write a book, ever.

Grinning, Sor sat down on the floor, plate of s'mores in front of him, in easy reach of Cassie. "Of course, that's the point of sleepovers!" Sor didn't mind Cassie's stutter; he'd been friends with the boy his entire life, so he understood, and was more patient with him than most.

The stutter only went away when he was reading out loud and had the words right in front of him, or if he was yelling and even then, it had to be something short and to the point. Cassie hated that he couldn't speak properly and it always bothered him that even when he did speak, he had a thickly London accent which made him sound simple. He was happy Sor never teased him for it. He smiled and took one of the s'mores, taking a slow, savoring bite of them, smiling brightly. "It's sad, really," he murmured over the bite of food, "that we're not going to get to go camping any more this year. Too late in the year for it."

"We'll just have to be sure to go next year as much as we can. We could always go camping someplace warm, but that always feels like a holiday to me, and not a proper vacation." Sor's own accent was vaguely British, but it was tempered by all of the Scandinavian people he lived with, as well as his mother's own untraceable one. He smiled at his friend, chocolate rimming his teeth. "But Halloween's coming up, then Christmas! And that means no school."

Nodding emphatically as he chewed another small bite of his s'more, Cassie thought about what he wanted to say before saying it. Sometimes it helped him get over certain words he often stumbled on when he spoke.
"Mm! Should get ready to get you something for Yule. What do you like for Yule?"

Sor shrugged. "Presents are good no matter what they are. Candy. Guitars. Whatever you get me will be good, it's from you. What do you want?" He smiled a little bit, grabbing a pillow and leaning against it to get more comfortable.

Cassie thought about that for a little longer as he finished his treat, licking off the sticky marshmallow goo that had gotten onto his fingertips. "Dunno. You always get the best gifts for me anyway. Maybe a new sled, I think mine's too small and old now." He took a drink of his milk and smiled warmly as he bounced faintly, "Wanna see if the big-us will let us watch a scary movie?"

"Oh, that'd be awesome, then we could take it out right away. I should get one big enough for both of us, that'd be great." He loved sledding, the thrill of it was great, he even liked when they fell out into the snow. Snow in general made Sor very happy.

Sipping his own milk, Sor nodded. "I'm sure they will, they were talking about it before. Come on, I'll put the plate in the dishwasher and you can pick one out with the big-us."

Cassie took his milk as well and bounded down the steep stairs that led to the first floor. He got distracted by Dog for a moment, ruffling his ears and scratching under his collar before he went to go find Soren. Once he did he smiled his most Sweet Kid smile at him, figuring it worked on every other adult. "Can we watch Saw?"

Sor went to put his plate into the dishwasher, smiling a little bit at Cass as he saw him, wrapping his arms around him and pulling him into a tight hug.

When Cassie came into the room, Soren blinked. "Saw? Sure, but only if I watch it with you so I can pause at the scary parts and explain what's going on and how they did the makeup."

Cass grinned, having just gotten home, and ruffled Sor's hair, and crouched down, offering a soda - one that didn't say how much caffeine WASN'T in it - to the young Swede. "Don't tell your pappa we spoil you. Share that with Cassie, okay?"

Cassie, of course, rolled his eyes, "Oh come on, we know that stuff is fake, and anyway, we see worse gore that's real when we watch videos of grandpa Toki's concerts."

Sor beamed and nodded, taking the soda almost reverently between his hands. After tip-toeing up to kiss Cass on the cheek, he turned and went into the living room. "Seriously, we've seen lots of gross stuff. And this is all rubber and pretend scary."

"If we were watching it at Mordhaus on one of Big-Teja's movie screens, it might be a little scarier, but this is a regular sized television with 5.1. Big deal." Cassie poked Soren lightly in the ribs before hugging him, however. "I know you're just looking out for us, thanks."
Cass shrugged and put the movie in, before getting the blanket out to hand to Sor. "You guys can curl up between us so if you need big people to go to, you've got 'em. ... well, unless Soren needs a hug, too." He couldn't help but tease lightly.

Soren grinned and wrapped an arm around Cassie. "Hey, I'll get scared too, you heard Cass." He stuck his tongue out at his husband, obviously teasing right back. Soren was a great lover of scary movies.

Sor, for his part, took the blanket and burrowed under it, moving to sit by Cassie, leaning against him.

Cassie sneaked under the blanket and curled up near Sor, leaning against Sor just as heavily as Sor leaned against him. He didn't mind being close to Sor, though he was incredibly picky with the people he did let near enough to him. It wasn't that he was afraid of getting hurt by others, he just didn't like the feeling of being touched.

Cass made sure the kids were comfortable before going and getting some popcorn for them. It would keep them from focusing too intently on the movie.

Sor held Cassie's hand, squeezing lightly, excited that they were finally getting to watch this movie. He'd seen bits and pieces, but not the whole thing. It made him smile that he was able to watch it with his best friend.
