With Dean gone, and Kevin out somewhere, Su had been left alone. She'd been tempted for a moment to make her way into the nearest town... there were always things they needed and she could get them (or the money to buy them) much more easily when she was on her own. Less questions about how she'd gotten them that way, though since Kevin and Dean had first found her breaking into a house, she was pretty sure they had an idea of her skill set.
But in the end, she hadn't really been in the mood for shoplifting or pickpocketing. Instead she'd climbed into the back of her van and laid down on the mattress to read a book. It was one of the few magic books she'd managed to get a hold of over the last couple years (stealing from magic book shops being a lot harder than Muggle shops- not to mention more dangerous), and as such she didn't have the best collection. Luckily, though, it had some overlap where it discussed wards and magical signatures, some of which might be handy given the task they were currently working on.
She'd been about halfway through the book, and just starting to get that (rare) feeling she got when she was digesting just a bit too much information at once (hey, smart as she was, it happened!) when she heard the familiar sound of Kevin's voice outside. Marking her page, she slid the book back into it's box and pushed open the back door of the van. Sticking her head out she said, "Kev!" With a grin, she hopped onto the ground and looked up at him. "Good news?"
