Romilda had, after taking forever just to make up her mind, decided to go to the party as a mirror, after all. It had come up in conversation with David, and she hadn't really been sure it was a good idea, but then she'd gotten inspired for the costume a few days before Halloween. She'd charmed a long black dress with a suggestive slit up the thigh to a reflective silver (a charm that had taken her some time to perfect, but it had worked out quite well in the end), created a masquerade mask with actual glass mirroring and feathers around the eyes, and finished off the ensemble with silver heels, silver hoop earrings, and silver glitter dusted over her exposed skin.
More than likely, no one would get what she was supposed to be. But that didn't matter, because she looked fantastic, if she did say so herself.
The house was ready, too. Romilda had let the elves do the decorating, since she'd been in the kitchen making Halloween-themed baked goods, candies, and drinks since very early that morning. (3am, to be precise. She hadn't been able to sleep with all the excitement, and had then taken a nap around 1pm before waking to get herself ready for the party.)
Now the sun was setting, and both the inside and outside of the house looked sufficiently, tastefully spooky. The entire downstairs was for drinking, eating, dancing, and hanging out, while upstairs, house elves lurked behind each door to hand out candy for anyone who knocked. Romilda positioned herself in the entrance hall where the Floo and the door (for anyone who had Apparated) were located, excitement thrumming through her body as she waited for her guests to arrive.
